Long boring excursion
Not as expected…very short opportunity to snorkel, no access to paddle boards on beaches. Cost to rent beach chairs and umbrellas is additional. The boat trip was way too long and slow. Trip was 8 and a half hours way too long!!!! Was advertised as 5-6 hours. The tour guides were nice!

Horrible experience with both Viator app and beach boy boat.
Well the Viator app doesn’t tell you which boat you are getting on and that’s is a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR PROBLEM. Spending the entire 8-9 hours worried I’m going to get scammed because I’m not supposed to be in this boat and they’ve provided an experience and expect money. Also doesn’t tell you that you will need to take a tender to get on the boat from the other pickup spot near the romantics zone. And the tender drivers will scam you and charge you money to get on their boat and you have to pay otherwise you miss your entire boat trip. Be prepared to sit on plastic lawn chairs the entire 8-9 hours. Also it is 8 - 9 hours not 7.5!!!!! Staff was good and polite but they had no idea who we were and had no idea if we were supposed to be on their boat or not. Which seems very unprofessional to not know who is going on your boat. ALSO no one scanned our ticket and it was very suspicious because no one confirmed weather we were even in the correct boat or not so the entire time I’m worried I’m on the wrong boat and they’re going to charge me a bunch of money to get off at the end because I wasn’t supposed to be there. Animas beach lunch was horrible. You got the option of a bad fish fillet or three tiny plain cheese quesadillas or fries and nuggets. All in all very disappointed with our boat trip and lack of information provided by Viator app. Very very very disappointing. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid using Viator and especially riding the beach boy.

The whole day was meh
I honestly don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t this.. to start we had an 11am time and got there 30 minutes before and we got told we were actually on the 1pm boat. Fine whatever we go hang out for a bit. The boat is not fancy by any means! So if you want that this isn’t for you! It’s a large beat down deck with plastic lawn chairs scattered all over. The drinks were not great but the entertainment was fun. Getting to all the locations was so chaotic. The snorkeling spot they take you to really doesn’t have any sea life in it and you only get to snorkel for less than 30 minutes. At Las Aminas you can pay for extra excursions or just sit at the beach. Both were great. The island is beautiful. The lunch that was included was subpar and was confusing to figure out how to get it. We also had to pay 30 additional pesos each for port fees which I wish I knew prior. Overall the staff was SO kind but the whole experience was not what I thought of. Very run down boat situation. If you’re looking for something like that, this is perfect for you! If you’re looking for something a little more upscale look elsewhere.

Chaotic
I would not recommend. The experience was extremely chaotic and poorly organized. The ticket said to arrive at 11:00 a.m. but the boat did not begin boarding until noon. There was definitely a party vibe on the boat- incredibly loud music played the entire time. Over 200 people were crowded onto the boat. We were told we would get 30 minutes of snorkeling, it was closer to 5. The crew were selling “activities” you could do when you got to Los Animas- horseback riding, ziplining, etc, but there wasn’t time once we arrived. “Lunch” started at around 4:00 p.m. and it took at least an hour for the first plates to come out. There was no way you could have lunch and do an excursion- thankfully we did not prepay for one on board but I’m sure some people did and were out that money. The whole thing was disorganized and dysfunctional. The crew were trying their best but there was no way to manage the 200+ people on board in a reasonable and timely fashion. The incredibly loud party music continued on the boat ride back to Puerto Vallarta and the open bar meant people were just getting more drunk and obnoxious as time went on. We did not arrive back at the marina until almost 9:00 p.m. If you are looking to spend 9ish hours on a party boat and not actually wanting to snorkel, eat, or partake in any activities then this experience would be perfect for you. I wanted to snorkel and enjoy the sights more than I wanted to drink and dance. Your mileage may vary, but this was not the excursion for me.

Love the experience, the water was a bit cold so didn’t get to do the snorkeling activity but we definitely are coming back to do it! We love Las animas beach and Quimixto. On our way back we got to see dolphins overall the experience was amazing
