    We went snorkeling, and...

We went snorkeling, and it was incredibly fun and exciting to see the sea creatures underwater. It was around 10 am, and we expected the waves to be calm, but they weren’t. Earlier would have been better.

Disappointed by the snorkeling AND the vendor.

As far as the snorkeling, I had only ever been once before in Hawaii and I was expecting that kind of experience. Boy, was I disappointed. Not only was there very little to look at, the water was very choppy with waves and it was just not comfortable to snorkel for fear of My snorkel going underwater. As far as this particular vendor, the guy didn't know what he was doing. He couldn't pull up my package, what I had paid for, or anything. He kept telling me I couldn't use a locker even though it clearly said that it was included.

I was unable to find the location as provided on the website. I made multiple attempts to call to get help and was unable to get any. So we never ended up being able to rent anything.

Great Experience- call ahead before you reach the place

Friendly and easy experience. Finding the location was a bit hard. You have to enter a gift shop and wait for one of the owners to get there and actually hand you the equipment. Also remember that there is a small hike from the store to the actual snorkel site. Also there isn't a towel and while you will have lockers in store to keep your stuff - the beach gets random tides and you would need to bring some dry bags for your stuff. The experience is amazing and outerworldly. I was able to spot multiple fish, seals, sea lions and swim with all of them in the pacific. For the price this is a great experience. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Just call ahead so you can quickly be on your adventure.

All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Jolla.

How much does All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Jolla usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Jolla is not rushed.

Is All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Jolla, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Jolla can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Jolla and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does All Day Snorkel Package with Wetsuit Rental start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Jolla within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in La Jolla?

    +

La Jolla is San Diego's best water day: kayak tours into the sea caves, snorkelling with leopard sharks in the ecological reserve, coastal walks with sea lions and sunset sails. On Outty we rank every La Jolla experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cali Dreaming Electric Bike Tour of La Jolla and Pacific Beach, Incredible Slot Canyons to the Pacific, SoCal Riviera Electric Bike Tour of La Jolla and Mount Soledad. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit La Jolla?

    +

June to September for warm water, year-round for kayaking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in La Jolla?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
