    About this experience

The real voyage of discovery consists, not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes...and that is actually our goal with this tour: To show you the famous "Alhambra and Generalife" from another perspective. History and legend are intermingled in this jewel of the Nasrid dinasty of Al-Andalus that perfectly combines water, light, architecture and vegetation. Do you want to know the symbolism behind each of these elements? Esotericism, sufism, astrology, mythology... interesting, isn't it? The Alhambra walls and fountains are actually a book full of poetry, religion and political propaganda, where we can also read the function of its rooms in the voice of a beautiful woman speaking with a delicate voice to the visitor. Together we will experience the same overwhelming feeling of those ambassadors coming to visit the Nasrid king and its piece of paradise on earth... Thousands book guided tours to the Alhambra every year...do they all come back home knowing its secrets?

    A must visit

Beautiful place. Guide was okay- on time and friendly but a little repetitive. Go early as crowds increase along the days well as the extreme heat.

Response from the operator: Thanks for your comment! I hope that you enjoyed a lot

Our guide was really worth it!

Just loved this tour! Our guide was wonderful. I actually felt as though we got sneak look at things and extra information, definitely enjoyed minute of it. I believe our guide’s name was Marta (I may be wrong), and what I really liked about her was that if we asked for further clarification,or we asked something off the beaten track, she happily shared her knowledge and made the entire experience, not only learning, but really enjoyable. ( I SO WISH I could remember our guide's name - she was sooooo good and I highly recommend her!)

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review and for sharing your experience. We are delighted to know you enjoyed your visit. We hope to welcome you again very soon

Small intimate group tour just right for the Alhambra

We had Adriana as our guide and she’s just wonderfully full of information and be able to explain history in an interesting and engaging way. Our small group consisted of our family of three and an older couple. The small group size allowed for a more intimate discussion and move easily through the morning crowds. We started at 9 and was done by 12:30 before the crowds get too heavy. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review and for sharing your experience. We are delighted to know you enjoyed your visit. We hope to welcome you again very soon.

Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Granada.

How much does Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra cost?

    +

Prices start at $165 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Granada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Granada is not rushed.

Is Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Granada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra?

    +

Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Granada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Granada and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Alhambra Small Group Tour: Secrets of the Alhambra start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Granada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Granada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Granada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Granada: Sierra Nevada Safari tour up to 2500 meters high, Granada Tapas and Wine Small Group Tour, Granada: Albaicin and Sacromonte Segway Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Granada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Granada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
