Albania: From an Amazing Experience in 2021 to a Huge Disappointment in 2026 We first worked with an Albania tour operator in 2021, and the experience was genuinely excellent. The organization was professional, communication was clear, and everything was handled with respect. We left Albania with great memories and a strong desire to come back. That experience is exactly why we decided to return in 2026. Unfortunately, what we experienced this time was completely different. We dealt with poorly organized operators, unreliable commitments, extremely unprofessional communication, and a trip being cancelled at the very last minute after we had already invested significant time, money, and effort into organizing it for our clients. What was even more disappointing was the attitude and behavior we received from some of the operators we were dealing with. Problems can happen in tourism. Plans can change. But there is absolutely no excuse for disrespectful communication, lack of accountability, or leaving partners and clients to deal with the consequences of someone else's poor organization. We came to Albania as a travel company with genuine trust, based on our positive experience in 2021. Unfortunately, in 2026, that trust was seriously damaged. This is not the Albania we experienced in 2021. We believe Albania has incredible potential as a destination, and there are certainly professional people working in its tourism industry. But operators who accept bookings and commitments need to understand that they are not only representing themselves — they are representing the destination and the entire tourism industry. For us, this experience was a serious lesson. Good tourism is not just about beautiful mountains, hotels, or destinations. It is about professionalism, responsibility, communication, and respect. And unfortunately, we did not receive that in 2026.

Discovering Albania from inside
The 7-days Good Albania Tour was amazing. Friendly people, local food and UNESCO World Heritage sites. But above all, a very kind and experienced guide/driver (Florian). Enchanting tours with Good Albania!
We added an extra day to make this a 5 day tour, as unfortunately we couldn't make the 6 day tour, and it was FANTASTIC! Flori was our guide and from the start it was obvious he's been doing this for years and has a job he loves and does very well. We appreciated that he was attentive to our individual interests as he took us to beautiful and impressive sight after sight, made sure we were very well fed, had comfortable and convenient accommodations while allowing for some needed down time in between it all. We even enjoyed the relaxing stops along the road for refreshments with gorgeous views! Hopefully we'll get back one day and be able to book some of the longer "Good Albania" tours as well.
