We got left behind!
We were told 4pm so we were waiting from 3.40pm. By 4.30pm we were worried and called the number on the booking to be told the driver was on his way. Then we were called and asked for our location! Eventually at 5.15pm a taxi came to collect us and took us to the point where everybody already was enjoying the excursion. We missed the visit to the oil place, we missed the sunset due to being last on the camel ride. We were told by two other guests from our hotel they had been collected at 3.15pm. We were looking forward to immersing ourselves into the tour but it appeared our arrival meant the bus was full and two other passengers were offloaded into another transport for their return journey! We were disappointed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and disappointment you experienced on the day of the tour. Your pickup was scheduled within a time window rather than a fixed minute, and due to high traffic conditions and multiple hotel pickups that afternoon, there was an unexpected delay. We did our best to stay in contact and ensured alternative transportation was arranged so you could still join the experience rather than miss it entirely. We truly regret that, because of the late arrival, you were unable to fully enjoy certain parts of the excursion, including the oil cooperative visit and the sunset camel ride. This is certainly not the level of experience we aim to provide. Your comments have been shared with our operations team so we can improve coordination and communication, especially during busy periods. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our service for future guests. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we wish you all the best. Warm regards, Khalid

I highly recommend !
The Agafay desert tour was absolutely magical! Riding a camel through the desert at sunset, with breathtaking views, felt like a dream. The dinner under the stars was delicious, and the live show added a vibrant, authentic touch to the evening. Everything was well-organized, and the guides were friendly and professional. This experience perfectly combined adventure, culture, and relaxation—I’d highly recommend it!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Agafay Desert Tour and Sunset Camel Ride with Dinner Show start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
