Poor communication with operator and a meh experience
The tour company ultimately delivered, or was prepared to deliver on a timely basis, exactly what they promised: a small group event to ride camels. ATVs. And have dinner in the desert. We ultimately found our group so small (the 2 of us and a mom and young son signed up to only ride camels) that we chose to also only ride the camels and skip the rest. The camel ride was nice enough, and long enough, to give you a good experience. The setting is less than ideal, as this is not pretty, sandy dune desert. It is hard rocky desert, and there are hundreds of camels and ATVs riding all around you, as this area is highly commercialized for these exact things. The camels seemed well taken care of and were friendly, for camels. We did not ride the ATVs but they had a good selection and others riders we saw seemed happy with them. We did not have dinner so cannot comment on this. I’m not sure how a 2 person dinner would work, so I’m guessing we would have joined others at some point. Big pluses go to the at-site team for their engagement, photo taking, and generally positive attitude. Our driver also tried to make the best of our ride through typical (horrible) Marrakech traffic). The 3 stars for this review is not about any of that. The challenge I had with this particular tour company was communication. I made multiple inquiries about meeting point and timing for pickup the tour, how we would know each other, etc. several inquiries across multiple days resulted in no response. Finally we connected mere hours before our scheduled time, I ultimately supplied a divested pickup point, not them, I supplied my photo to them, as they gave me no info about how to identify our pickup driver, and at the last moment they asked me to send them a picture of my ticket so they could figure out what Inhad actually booked (I has supplied confirmation info previously in other communications). It is entirely possible that my experience is unique, and I made a misstep, but I cannot find it. Or, that they uniquely offered a bad communication experience to me. So, I leave you with this: this can become a VERY small group excursion. Choose this only if there are at least 4 persons in your group. It is pricier than bigger group options, so choose it and pay the higher price only if you hate big group excursions (we do hate those). Know that this happens in the desert, but not in the wide open, pretty sand dune desert with almost no other people around - it’s a busy place. And be sure you are communicating early and often with the tour company.

Amazing. Give it a go!!
My driver was called Hakim and picked us promptly from the restaurant. He then entertained on the journey to the dessert and looked after us with people dealing with quad bikes and camel ride. The quads were so fun to drive around and camels was a unique life experience. Then we were taken to dinner which was also a unique experience with amazing food. 10/10 day.

First Camle Ride and Nice Food
This was my first ever trip to Morocco and the camel ride was a kind of experience, also had a chance to drive Quad-bike. Overall the experience was awesome and the day ended with nice and tasty food in the evening. It sure was worth of being out there.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Agafay Desert: Camel Ride and Quad bike with Dinner Show start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
