Highly recommend for sunrise!
They were able to accommodate us for a sunrise camel ride and we had an absolutely excellent time! Pick up was prompt, the drive there not too long from Marrakesh (about 45 mins), everything was timed perfectly for sunrise - and of course the camel ride in that setting was stunning! Amazing seeing the snow capped mountains in the distance at first light. Ossama was our camel ride guide and he was friendly and attentive - and an excellent photographer/videographer! When we got back to the starting point, a nice breakfast set up was awaiting us, which they originally said was not possible, but made happen anyways! It was great having it only be us two as well, since most people choose to go for sunset - but we did not even have to wake up that early in winter - and the Berber outfits added an extra layer of warmth while we waited for the sun haha. Lastly, communication was excellent, they're highly responsive on WhatsApp. Overall, highly recommend this experience!

Perfect tour for seeing the Agafay Desert and riding camels
This was a fabulous tour. Khalid was a kind, safe, professional and patient driver. He took us to the site and we were greatly so Nicky by Mohammad and his team. They gave us garments and scarves to enhance the experience. We had an ample amount of time to ride of the camels, most tours are rushed.Mohammad took some great memorable pictures with enhancements. At the end of the tour they greeted us with delicious tea and snacks. I’ve done the traditional ATV tour and dinner in the desert so I didn’t want to do that again . This was perfect—Highly recommend this tour.

Camel Ride Marrakech
Mohamed was our guide who took us out on the camel. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He spoke about some of the history of Marrakech and the deference between Camels and Dromedary. I really enjoyed the camel / tour. The kids loved it. At the end of the camel ride, we were presented with some traditional Moroccan mint, which was very tasty. I would definitely recommend and come again when I next visit Marrakech.

Wow what a ride! Breathtaking scenery, fantastic host Mohamed. I was terrified as I am scared of heights but Mohamed was very patient and reassuring, Rode the camels for one hour, guide took many pictures for us. Finished off the experience with tea and cookies served by the host. Highly recommend this tour.. Thank you so much Mohammed for your patience and for making it such a great experience, Also thank you to our driver who answered lots of questions about Morocco.

Not collected for our trip!
A very disappointed family as we were never collected from our hotel. The trip provider cancelled the booking 30 mins after the scheduled pick up time.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Agafay camel ride: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Agafay camel ride cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Agafay camel ride take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Agafay camel ride worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Agafay camel ride?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Agafay camel ride suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Agafay camel ride?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Agafay camel ride start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
