Left behind but rescued by a kind taxi driver

After receiving our confirmation email from the operator I had one more question--what else do I need to do right now to confirm? The response was, "There is nothing else you need to do right now. Your reservation is confirmed with us directly." I had a high level of confidence that all was well. But on the day of our tour we followed the instructions to exit the port to meet our driver. No one was there to meet us. We were lucky to find a kind taxi driver who looked at my email confirmation, contacted the tour operator and sorted out the mix-up. The original driver had already left with other guests from the cruise ship. The helpful taxi driver took us to the location, described in our email as a "ranch". Photo included. We were a bit put off by being left behind, but the taxi driver who helped us was super friendly and kind. He was the best part of our excursion that day. The young man guiding us during the ride was also very friendly and we appreciated chatting with him along the way. He kindly offered to take our photos several times as we rode along, stopping to do so. The photos are very nice. As other reviewers have said the route taken for the actual ride is not very scenic, lots of trash along the way. And the eventual destination, the river was pretty basic. However it was a nice experience to have ridden a camel and we enjoyed the lovely tea and biscuits at the end of the ride. If you are intrigued by the idea of riding a camel I would definitely recommend it. But if you are kind of interested but not sure, I would skip this activity.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share your experience, and for doing so with such fairness and balance. We owe you a genuine apology for what happened at the port that day. Due to an exceptional circumstance — our coordinator Asmaa, who normally manages all pickup logistics, was away in Rabat sitting her Master's degree exam in Data & Artificial Intelligence — a trainee was handling operations for the first time. Unfortunately, your names were not added to the pickup list, which caused the confusion you experienced. This is entirely our responsibility and we are truly sorry. We are however relieved and grateful that our second driver — who works exclusively with us — was there to step in and bring you to the ranch safely. He may not have been the driver you were expecting, but he is very much part of our team! We are also glad that our guide made your ride enjoyable, and that the mint tea brought a warm ending to your day. Regarding the route and the river: we always strive to be honest with our guests. The landscape is authentic and natural, not a manicured tourist setting — and we are actively working with local authorities to address the litter issue along the path, which unfortunately reflects a wider environmental challenge in the region. Your feedback helps us improve, and since this incident, Asmaa has implemented a double-verification system for all pickup lists. We are proud to say she passed her exam! We hope that despite this difficult start, the memory of riding a camel in Morocco remains a special one. We would love the opportunity to welcome you again one day and show you the full experience you deserved. With warm regards, Lahoucine, Sanaa & Asmaa Dar Souss Loisir — Agadir, since 2005

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Agadir?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
