    Best tour of Phonm Penn

We had a lovely time with Nera on this afternoon excursion to in the main Silk Island. Nera arrived on time and we were immediately offered ice cold refreshments. Asvwe made our way to the temple She pointed out the interesting sites in the city. At the temple she fully explained everything, her English is excellent. She bought us the local suger cane drink and then it was off to the ferry over to sugar island. We were met by Molly who runs the silk farm with her family. We were shown the process of how the silk is obtained and then were treated to a demonstration of weaving. We had a go ourselves but weren't offered s job. Then off to the temple to be greeted by a monk and receive a water blessing. Again treated to some local food, banna wrapped in sticky rice. We returned to our hotel some 4 hours later. It was a really good tour, informative and interesting and Nera and our driver made the whole experience very interesting. I would highly recommend Nera as a guide for your tours.

The peaceful side of Phnom Penh

A wonderful afternoon exploring temples and Silk Island riding in a tuktuk with my excellent guide, Neara. Tourist free and very interesting away from the bustling city of Phnom Penh. Highly recommended.

    Special blessing on Silk Island

We first made the death camps and prisons of Pol Pot and in the afternoon took us Near Silk Island. It is very curious the ferry journey both to and from the airport. On the island you visit the house of a lady in which at least three generations have worked silk and temple. In the temple we received the blessing of the monk and made offerings (Neara took care of everything). Very curious.

    +

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phnom Penh and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Phnom Penh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Phnom Penh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Tuol Sleng S21 and Choeung Ek Killing Field Tour, The Killing Field and Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) Tour, Killing field and Toul Sleng genocide museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phnom Penh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phnom Penh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
