Walking & eating your way through Athens!
Our guide was lovely and walked us throughout Athens to all her favorite eating spots! She is a culinary student so she has excellent taste! We loved it, wear comfy walking shoes!
Response from the operator: It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the flavor of Athens with us, Yolanda! We’re so glad our guide’s culinary background added that extra layer of expertise to your experience—nothing beats exploring local gems with a student of the craft. Thank you for the "comfy shoes" tip; it’s the best advice for a day of discovery and delicious eats. Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team

Walkie talkie
Easy Tripadvisor booking. Good feedback messaging. Hassle free check-in and in time. Our taxi dropped us at the arrival table. All the info you need without having to carry a map or guidebook. Still crowded even in October. We were lucky to see it without renovations scaffolding. Food tour has us trying Greek food we would likely avoid without knowing its ingredients.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted you found the process smooth and that you enjoyed exploring both the historic and culinary sides of Athens with us. It’s always a pleasure to introduce guests to authentic Greek flavors and dishes they might not try otherwise — that’s where the real magic happens! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team

Great value to see the top site and eat the top foods
We had issues coming from the cruise port to the city center due to crazy amounts of traffic and taxisnot wanting to sit in it. So we arrived at the meeting point quite late. The ladies at the meeting point were kind enough to walk us over to the acropolis and get us through the gate so that we could find our guide and catch up with our tour. Dora was a fabulous guide for the Acropolis and shared lots of interesting information. We then left the acropolis at the end of the tour and met up with our next guide for the food tour portion. I wish I could recall his name…dark curly hair. He was lovely. He took us to several different stops in the city to try many different foods at authentic restaurants that the locals would be dining at. It was all delicious! We had two teenagers along with us that especially enjoyed the food tour. One of my sons is a history buff and enjoy the acropolis as well. It was a hot day in Athens, but we had a great time on our tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you, Jennifer! It’s a pleasure to know everything worked out despite the hectic start — Athens traffic can be a challenge, especially on cruise days. Kudos to our team for helping you reconnect with the group, and we’re delighted you enjoyed both parts of the experience. Dora and your food guide (we’ll let him know he made an impression!) love sharing the real flavors and stories of the city. It means a lot to hear your whole family had a great time — even in the heat! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team

Good Day Out
Acprolis Tour was Excellent. On Hindsight would probably have not done the food tasting section as that was pretty basic. Still a very good day overall
Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the Acropolis tour—it’s truly a highlight. We appreciate your thoughts on the food tasting, and we’ll take it into account as we continue refining the experience. Still, we're happy to hear it was a good day overall! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Acropolis & Athens Highlights with Food Tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
