The best tour ever!
My family and I visited Maine and booked a tour with Joe on the Sea to Summit tour at Acadia National Park. It was a great tour, and we are so glad we decided to have a tour guide on our tour. Joe was so knowledgeable about the park and the state. He had so many interesting and fun facts, he was great. I am so glad we did the personal tour with just our group. Joe drove us to each location and gave us the history for each stop. He was flexible and we communicated for a couple weeks. He wanted to make sure we got everything out of the tour that we wanted. You will not be disappointed if you book your tour through Joe.

Amazing Journey Through Acadia
We had an incredible tour with Joe around Acadia National Park! We started out with the Sunrise on Cadillac Mountain's Summit and then drove all over the park checking out other major spots (Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, Thuya Gardens, Duck Brook Bridge, Bass Harbor Head Light, and more!). Joe was very happy to customize the tour to whatever we wanted and to spend as little or as much time at each spot as we desired. All along the way he had tons of great information for us as well as water, snacks, and a warm car to get back to (a little chilly mid-October). This felt like the absolute perfect way to see so much of Acadia in just a few short hours - cannot recommend it enough!

Outsmart the traffic with this Acadia tour
Joe with Island Wonder Tours greeted us at 5 am with good humor and the secret to visiting the park without the worry of traffic and parking. He arranged for us to watch the sunrise and then visit many of the park highlights. Along the drive, Joe added to the beautiful landscape with good stories and history. Then, at each stop, we had plenty of time to take more informed walks and experiences. Thanks Joe.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bar Harbor.
How much does Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit cost?
+
Prices start at $639 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bar Harbor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bar Harbor is not rushed.
Is Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Bar Harbor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bar Harbor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bar Harbor and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Acadia National Park Tour Sea to Summit start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bar Harbor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bar Harbor?
+
Bar Harbor is Acadia National Park access: Park Loop and Cadillac Mountain tours, carriage road bike rides, lobster boat trips, puffin cruises and sea kayaking. Cadillac sunrise reservations are the detail most listings miss. On Outty we rank every Bar Harbor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Narrated Bus Tour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (3.5 Hours), Narrated Bus Tour of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, Guided Ebike Tour of Acadia National Park Carriage Roads. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bar Harbor?
+
June to October, with autumn colour in early October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bar Harbor?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
