Ponte Flaminio
Ponte Flaminio is a grand and monumental bridge in northern Rome that spans the Tiber River with imposing elegance, linking the Parioli and Tor di Quinto districts. Stretching nearly 255 meters in length and 27 meters in width, the bridge rests on five graceful arches and is entirely clad in warm-toned Roman travertine that glows golden-white in the sunlight. Incredible Private Tour of the Eternal City with an Exceptional Guide
This was an absolutely incredible experience! I travelled to Italy with my 83 year old Nonno who has reduced mobility, and we booked to tour so that we could see all of Rome without long walks in 50 degree heat. The tour did not disappoint and provided exactly what we were looking for! First and foremost, Armin is an exceptional tour guide. He's very kind and understanding to people's individual needs, and he knows an INCREDIBLE amount about Rome! He gave us an outline of what our day could look like, while also giving us the flexibility to fully customize it! This way, we were able to see all of the big tourist sites (Vatican, Colloseum, Piazza Del Poppolo, etc). We purposely skipped the Trevi Fountain as our hotel was very close to there and had already seen in the day prior. We got to see the Roman ruins, and we even got to see some places we had never seen before. For my Nonno and I, this was quite surprising, as we've quite literally been to Rome over a dozen times. Armin introduced us to two beautiful lookout points that allow you to see the entirety of the eternal city. We were blown away! We were able to stop for lunch midday, which was really nice. We would text Armin whenever we were done at a specific location, and within minutes, he was there to pick us up! Truly a wonderful experience. Exceptional value for your money. The costs are upfront and honest. Look, you're gonna EASILY pay $350-$450 Canadian dollars to drive around on a golf cart for four hours, and there's no air conditioning or water. You might as well pay a bit extra and get the tour that Armin offers. Air conditioned car, bottled water, exceptional insights and flexibility, and the tour lasts 8-9 hours. Worth every penny, ESPECIALLY if you or someone you're travelling with is reduced mobility (like my Nonno), can't handle 50 degree heat (like myself) and/or want to see all of Rome in a short period of time. On foot, what we covered in 9 hours would easily take 3 days. If you're reading this and you're unsure, trust me, as someone who's been to Rome a bunch, this is beyond worth it. The tour with Armin is the equivalence of flying first class as opposed to economy (i.e. a "hop on hop off" bus). We used to buy tickets for BigBus, but the stops are now approximately 20-30 minutes by foot from many of the attractions. In 50 degree heat, that's exhausting. We will not hesitate to book with Armin again on our next trip! We couldn't be happier. Grazie mille, Armin!
