We will depart from Muyuni Beach which is 10 minutes away from Mnemba Island. here you will be with your private guide, boat captain and assistant boat captain heading to the ocean where we will start by finding dolphins and swim with them for about 40 minutes before making our way to the reserved coral reefs for snorkeling. and we will finally get off the boat at sandbank where we will swim for a while and take some photos.

Experience Snorkeling at reserved coral reefs close to Mnemba Island where you will be able to see different types of fish in their natural habitats. at this point you can see zebra fish, mnemo, trumpet fish, white snipers etc. You will also have an opportunity to swim with bottled nose Dolphins that are mainly seen during morning hours. Snorkeling gears are provided for all travelers. The Last stop will be at the sandbank where you will enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water while making beautiful photos for memory and enjoying the taste of Zanzibar Tropical fruits.

We did a half-day private...
We did a half-day private dolphin watching and snorkeling tour in Zanzibar, and overall it was a mixed experience. The guide was friendly and helpful, although he did disappear for quite a while at one point, which left us a bit unsure about what was happening. The snorkeling itself was definitely a highlight, seeing the colourful fish and marine life was absolutely beautiful and made that part of the trip very worthwhile. We understand that dolphins are wild animals and sightings can’t be guaranteed, but we didn’t see any during our tour and weren’t informed until we were already heading back to shore. It would be helpful if this was communicated more clearly upfront so expectations are managed. On a positive note, the guide extended our tour and offered us the chance to feed sea turtles (for an additional cost), which turned out to be a really great and memorable experience. Overall, a good trip for snorkeling, with a few areas where communication and organization could be improved.

Dolphins, Blue Waters & Pure Magic
From start to finish, this excursion was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My tour guide was on time, thorough, and incredibly fun — the kind of guide who instantly makes you feel comfortable and excited for the day ahead. On the ride to the beach, he introduced me to Zanzibar’s music and local artists, turning the drive into an interactive cultural moment. We even stopped at a few local shops beforehand so I could experience real life outside the resort, talk with locals, and grab my fins. He also picked up fresh fruit from a market — I didn’t know what it was for at the time, but it turned out to be such a sweet surprise later. When we arrived at the beach, we met the rest of our small group — a lovely Portuguese couple — and boarded our private boat, which had that perfect, authentic Zanzibar vibe. The water was a bit darker that day, but still so unbelievably clear and blue that it felt unreal. And let me tell you: our guide was NOT afraid to get in the mix for the best photos. I swear he jumped into the water at least 12 times just to capture the perfect shots. Swimming with dolphins in the wild was something I’ll never forget. I’ve never been that close to them before, and seeing them in their natural environment was mesmerizing and almost surreal. After our dolphin adventure, we headed to Namba Island, where we snorkeled through the most beautiful coral and schools of fish. The water, the colors, the calm — it was one of those rare moments where you’re completely present and grateful just to exist in the moment. The entire day was amazing. If I could’ve done this excursion more than once during my vacation, I absolutely would have. And next time I’m in Zanzibar, this will be one of the very first things I book again. Highly, highly recommend — this experience is the definition of unforgettable.
