A perfect three days with Aquitaine Limousine.
Catherine Caquelot and her team are experienced and compassionate tour guides. We used them for our three days in Bordeaux. They picked us up from the airport in a Mercedes small van which we used all four days and drove us to our Airbnb. Catherine and I had previously discussed the three days we would drive around the chateaux and the city of Bordeaux. She was very helpful in helping us choose our itinerary. Each day was beautifully experienced by us. The first day we went to the village of St. Emilion and three chateaux. Each had a different historic significance. We had a delicious picnic at one of the chateaux. The second day we toured Bordeaux. Anais, our driver and guide gladly accommodated our specific requests. We had a delicious lunch. The third day we went to Medoc where we visited two chateaux and a boutique chocolate maker. We chose to omit the third chateau offered. We had a picnic at the chateau Larrieux which has always been owned by women since the 1500’s. On the fourth day, they took us back to the airport. I highly recommend Aquitaine Limousine if you are visiting Bordeaux and the wine chateaux.

Lovely time in a charming town
We had a lovely day with Hugo as our guide. Exploring the Chateau Fonplegade was not only educational but stunningly beautiful and ending with the charcuterie and wine pairing was icing on the cake. Hugo was informative and accomodating.
Response from the operator: Thank you guys for your nice review. It has been a lovely day spent with you, to let you discover the places we like, and these little gems off the tracks.

Beware
Beware of what is included. The tour is expensive, approximately $900, and we were advised on the day of the tour that we needed to pay an additional 400 Euros for the wine tastings. This left a bad taste in our mouth.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We would like to clarify that tasting and entrance fees are clearly outlined in the experience description on Viator and were also communicated prior to the tour. This information is always provided in advance to ensure full transparency for our guests. We also note that this was shared at a stage when modifications or cancellation remained possible. The price mentioned in your review does not reflect the actual cost of the experience. We regret that your comment does not reflect the experience itself. Our tours are carefully designed to offer a seamless, curated journey through Bordeaux’s vineyards, led by knowledgeable guides and consistently appreciated by our international guests. Should you wish to discuss this further, we would be happy to assist you directly. Aquitaine Limousine Team

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bordeaux.
How much does A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe) cost?
+
Prices start at $750 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bordeaux usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bordeaux is not rushed.
Is A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bordeaux, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe)?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bordeaux can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bordeaux and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does A day in St-Émilion and its Castles in private tour (Van Luxe) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bordeaux within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bordeaux?
+
On Outty we rank every Bordeaux experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Saint-Emilion Electric Bike Day Tour with Wine Tastings & Lunch, Saint-Émilion Afternoon Tour - 2 Grand crus & French apéritif, "Bordeaux by bicycle: a 3-hour tour immersive experience". The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bordeaux?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bordeaux?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
