We offer a natural experience with elephants. We put the welfare of our elephants as number 1. We have social herds that spend the day with each other and we get to be a part of that. Our elephant handlers give our ladies space and freedom to behave like elephants with as much natural behavior and play as possible. A truely genuine sanctuary for elephants. No touching, no bathing, no riding, just happy elephants.

A Special Memory
Such an incredible time spent hanging out with some glorious mammals!! It was great to have chosen a truly ethical sanctuary to see the elephants that goes to every length to make sure they are neither abused, stressed, or disrespected. A true joy and a special memory indeed!

Amazing experience…highly recommended!
What an incredible experience! It was a privilege to see these amazing animals up close and being so well looked after by the mahouts. We were fortunate enough to be the only people on the afternoon tour which made it even more special. The guides were really knowledgeable and the food at the end was great as we watched two of the elephants enjoying themselves in the water. We learnt a lot about elephants and the importance of researching genuinely ethical elephant sanctuaries before you decide where to visit. We booked directly with the operator which was very easy, and got a Grab taxi there and back from Hat Karon. Highly recommended and thank you for an unforgettable afternoon!

Very close elephant encounter with 10 rescued elephants without the need to touch them.
The most amazing visit to the beautiful Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve where 10 rescued female elephants are able to enjoy their best life. Thank you to Louise and the most dedicated team for providing this very close encounter with your magnificent elephants whilst allowing them to interact naturally as a herd without humans touching them. My heart is absolutely full after this visit and I’ll be sure to return on my next trip to Thailand. I would highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting Phuket!!

Beautiful elephants and sanctuary
Absolutely amazing experience! We had the most incredible day at Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve in Phuket. Seeing all ten beautiful rescued elephants roaming freely in their natural habitat was truly unforgettable. We got to feed them bananas and simply watch them enjoy being elephants, which was such a special and heartwarming experience. The lunch was delicious, and enjoying it while watching the elephants bathe and play was the perfect end to the visit. The staff are clearly passionate about the welfare of these magnificent animals, and it's reassuring to know that the money from your visit goes directly towards feeding, caring for, and rescuing the elephants. I highly recommend Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve to anyone visiting Phuket. It's an ethical, educational, and unforgettable experience that supports a wonderful cause

Reviewed as a vet!
I promised Russell that I would place a review as a vet visiting an elephant sanctuary. In my work with pets but also exotic animals and wildlife I need to be mindful of the welfare of animals. We did quite a bit of research before choosing to visit this project and we weren’t disappointed. Russell and Louise have ensured a haven for rescued elephants where they are free to do as they please. No tourist handling or bathing or riding. Careful feeding which the elephants are in control of. A team of staff who have bought into the concept. We had a great afternoon and topped off by an amazing meal cooked by the wives of the mahouts. If you choose to visit elephants in Phuket come here!
