Two Thumbs Up for Private Tours Greece- great company, great drivers

My wife and I spent 16 days on a trip booked through Private Tours Greece. The first five were on Mykonos and Santorini, and then we did this 9 Day Private Tour of Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora. Since it was the end of the season, there were fewer tourists on the islands, though the weather was still beautiful. On the mainland, our driver Spyros was fantastic. More than just a skillful driver, he helped us understand the Greek culture and language, gave us great recommendations for where to dine, and overall, was a welcoming companion for the trip. The trip was smooth and easy because of Spyros’ attention to detail and awareness of the itinerary and our interests. Thank you so much, Spyros, for an incredible trip!

Response from the operator: Hello Ethan, Thank you so much for your kind words! We are glad that you enjoyed your holidays, and we hope to welcome you again in the future!

9-day private tour of classical Greece

This was a wonderful way to make our first visit to Greece and learn more about the civilisations that have contributed so much to our modern day life. Every day was fantastic our driver (Panos) took great care of us. Every single one of the specialist guides we met at each location were compelling with both the information and insight combined with informative descriptions, explanations and insights about the sites we visited. It's a great way to see a combination of ancient and modern day Greece.

Amazing Experience

A wonderful 9 day itinerary for the two of us. Our driver Spyros was an excellent experienced safe driver and he added to our experience with his local knowledge, great restaurant recommendations and extra stops at interesting sites. Would strongly recommend, especially if you can request Spyros.

Do not miss this tour if you like History, comfort and good food

The tour was great! 4 of us did it in November, 2022. Company do care about comfort of travelers- from Mercedes van to Boutiqe Hotels all along the road. Weather was cooperating and we enjoyed exploring sites- every day new one. I suggest to get ready for this adventure- read in details before going or hire a guide. There are no audio guides at any site. We did have some knowledge but still had a feeling we wanted more. Give the company time ahead to find good speaking English guide ( insist on good English) The first 2-3 days felt hectic but after we were glad and accustomed to explore new town and hotel every night. Ask your driver for dining tips and follow them:) Our driver, Spyros, was very polite, professional- no one got carsick despite numerous serpent roads. Also we appreciated when Spyros shared additional info along the road. We liked the itinerary except visiting caves twice- so we went to famous Voidokilia beach instead one of the cave’s excursion. Thank you , Spyros and company for flexibility. Communication with company while traveling was easy. Pay attention what currency do you use for deposit- you will not be allowed to change that. I won’t hesitate to go with the company again!

9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora cost?

+

Prices start at $650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora take?

+

Plan for about 216 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 216-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 216-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 9 Day Private Tour Ancient Peloponnese and Meteora start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
