Great day
We had a great time. Tony planned the perfect relaxing day for us.

Sonoma in September
What a great day we had! Tony provided outstanding service and put together the perfect itinerary for us! The wine was great, the day was gorgeous, and the experience will be a forever memory!

A Driver with Pizazz!
Tony is one of the most knowledgeable (and fun!) drivers in the Napa/Sonoma region. Not only will he take you to some of the most impressive and stunning wineries in the area (do a combo of he picks some/you pick some), he also can take some amazing pictures of you and your group! A memorable day and Tony made it better!

Would not travel to Napa without booking Tony
I don’t usually write reviews unless there is something negative to say…BUT the exact opposite is true in this case. Tony literally made our trip. From his upbeat and charming personality, to his impeccable driving, to his vast knowledge of the area and wineries-He was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure our trip went smoothly making sure we were always on time, walking us to the door at every tasting, making sure our reservations were all set, and accommodating last minute requests. He was always ready and waiting to pick us up before we ever even made it to the parking lot after a tasting and he helped with shipping arrangements for wine we couldn’t mail directly from the wineries themselves. He did it all. By the end of our trip Tony wasn’t just our driver but our friend! I would not return to Napa without first ensuring he was available. You will not be disappointed, and in fact, will be surprised at how much of a positive difference Tony can make for your trip!

Best way to maximize your wine country experience!
I will never again do a wine country trip without the services of Wine Country Confidential, and specifically, Tony Russo. Their services make planning a trip just seamless. Plus, Tony's sense of humor and overall generous and considerate personality are just the cherry on top! Tony offers private transportation for you and up to 6 people around wine country. The duration of his services is dependent on your itinerary, but the best part is that he is there on time to pick you up, and ensures you are on time to each of your tastings. I also appreciate his expertise in planning an ideal wine experience by providing suggestions to minimize driving time and maximize wine tasting experiences. If you're not familiar with where to go, he can help you curate your experience too! If you don't have time to call and book the wineries, you can authorize Tony to book for you. What we also appreciated was how much he took care of us. On a previous wine trip, when it was raining, he was such a gentleman and made sure we all had umbrella coverage so we didn't get wet. He also makes sure we have some sort of meal planned, whether it's as simple as picking up delicious sandwiches from a local grocer, to eating at a restaurant. This is extremely important when you have a full day of wine tasting! All in all, a Napa trip will no longer be complete without Tony. We love him to pieces! My advice is to book at least a couple months in advance to guarantee some sort of availability!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Napa & Sonoma.
How much does 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma cost?
+
Prices start at $810 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Napa & Sonoma usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Napa & Sonoma is not rushed.
Is 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Napa & Sonoma, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Napa & Sonoma can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Napa & Sonoma and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 8-Hour Private Wine Tour Experience for up to 6 Guests - San Francisco to Sonoma start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Napa & Sonoma within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Napa and Sonoma are all about how a tour is put together: which wineries it can actually book, how many stops, whether lunch and tasting fees are included, and whether it lifts off in a balloon at sunrise. We weight inclusions and transparency heavily in the ranking here. On Outty we rank every Napa & Sonoma experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Napa Valley Small Group Winery Tour, #1 Sonoma Walking Food, Wine Tasting & History Tour (Public Tour), Sonoma Valley Pedal Assist Bike Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Napa & Sonoma?
+
March to May and September to November, with harvest crush in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
