    Terrific tour of the Peloponnese

We did a 6 day private tour of the Peloponnese with Christos as our driver. The trip was everything I hoped it would be, and Christos was a fantastic driver and very knowledgeable about everywhere we went. We did not have a guide inside the sites, just wandered around on our own, but because of the great background Christos gave us at each location we did just fine. We prefer to eat local rather than in tourist restaurant and Christos gave us great recommendations. We were very comfortable in his car and he was a very conscientious driver; the roads were windy but his driving was smooth and while I can sometimes get car sick on that kind of road I had no problem at all. Given that it was just the start of the tourist season we had very little in the way of crowds. The weather was perfect. The hotels that were chosen for us by Greece Taxi were terrific, and we especially loved the Hotel Europa in Olympia. The private tour that we did was similar to their 8 day tour but without Delphi (which we did while we were in Athens) and a couple of other places. Christos usually took us the scenic route so we had the opportunity to see a lot of the country in addition to the ancient sites. The ancient sites are uneven and can be hot and dusty; I recommend sturdy shoes or light hiking boots at minimum. Don’t let that s are you away from seeing them; they are unlike anything you have seen anywhere else! This was a perfect tour for us and just what I hoped it would be.

PRIVATE CRUISER OF METHONIS: A DREAM BOAT

PRIVATE CRUISER OF METHONIS: A DREAM BOAT: It started in July 2024 but led by the professional, courteous and friendly staff. The boat, complete with a living room with kitchen and bathroom, is ideal for visiting memorable landscapes in dreamy places. And at extremely competitive prices with other equally elegant boats. I highly recommend this wonderful experience!

    Stunning Pelopense

My partner and I were collected from the port by Christos to start our 9 day discovery of the Pelopense. How lucky were we to have this wonderful man to drive us and show us this beautiful part of Greece. His knowledge of the area was fantastic and also to be able to take us to hidden gems of restaurants we’d never ever find ourselves. This was such a wonderful part of the trip as we adore traditional Greek food . Christos driving ability was second to none, in fact he is the best driver I’ve ever been with and that includes my family and friends ! He would never allow us to handle our bags and I had quite a few, always delivering them to our hotel rooms . Christos was always on time and had cold water ready for us and then we stopped and he bought us the best coffee in town where ever we were. After 9 days it was so sad saying goodbye at the airport as Christos made this wonderful trip extra special . I can highly recommend this experience of The Pelopense and of course “The wonderful Christos”.

Visit Greece in 13 Days Private Tour

We did the 13 day private tour of the Athens, Peloponnesian Peninsula, with Meteora also included. Nikolaus is a great driver who showed us the backroads and major sites. Though not an official guide, he is able to give good context to the history of classical and modern Greece. We were able to supplement with downloaded audio guides for a few sites, which were very helpful. We were quite busy during the tour but towards the end we were able to enjoy a couple nights in Nafplio and on the island of Hydra. Niko’s bride Angela also accompanied us and is delightful. I recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in Greek history and seeing a lot of sights. Though we went with their itinerary, Niko will be able to arrange for any individual desires or custom plans. Also check out the website for numerous other tours and beautiful pictures (taken by Niko and Angela.)

8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens cost?

    +

Prices start at $800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens take?

    +

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 8 Days Peloponnese: Sightseeing, Historical & Tasting Private Tour from Athens start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
