Fun, relaxing and responsive management
Kevin Dong the tour guide who showed us Beijing was very efficient. We had a wonderful time viewing the Forbidden Palace and the Great Wall. Meals were excellent. I had a stomach problem and had to cancel our visit to Xian. Wendy and Cissy were very prompt and thorough in helping us change our hotel and train reservations. The resultant change in cost was also promptly refunded to us. The hotels in Beijing and Shanghai were quiet and comfortable. Hotel breakfasts were tasty, plentiful and sumptuous. Shanghai was exciting and impressive. We visited the Bund when it was not too busy. The boat tour gave us a leisurely view on board. Sophie Li was very informative in her descriptions of the development of the Pudong district. We went up the Yunduo bookstore and had a complementary drink while high up in the skyline of Shanghai. Yu Garden was a bit crowded though the stone dragon sculptures reclining on the top edge of the garden walls added a fun atmosphere to the stroll.
Response from the operator: Dear Virginia C, thank you for your time in sharing the wonderful experience with us! How delighted to have your recognition of our travel service! There is nothing happier than seeing you enjoyed your trip. We are sorry to hear that you felt not comfortable and canceled the Xi'an trip, Xi'an is a city that definitely worth visiting, maybe next time you can plan a trip to Xi'an. Also May is a very nice season so that full of tourists, so it might be crowded in some famous tourism sites. Thank you again for choosing us. We look forward to serving you on your next trip! Best regards.

Visit to Shanghai
My husband, son and I had a wonderful trip to China! Our guide in Shanghai was Martin. Despite the rain we enjoyed the Yu Garden, boat ride and delicious lunch. Martin arranged tickets for Shanghai Circus World and met us after the tour was over, so he went above and beyond to help us enjoy our time in Shanghai!

China Highlights: Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai
I arrange with China Highlights for a 8 days private tour with English specking guides at each location including Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. Liberman (Li) has been professional, well organized and very helpful with all of my inquiries. His services included helping with Visa application and providing choice of itineraries. Booking hotels, flights and bullet train ticket as well. Our English tour guide Bruce (Beijing), Jenny (Xian) and Martin (Shanghai) were all very professional, thoughtful, helpful and flexible with me. All the places that were arranged suit me very well. This tour of China exceeded my expectations. China has definitely changed to a First World Country exceeding western world in mega infrastructure and the use of technology. More spoken English would be an icing on the cake!
Response from the operator: Dear Jay S, thank you for taking time to share your excellent China tour with us! It is delighted to see you enjoyed a memorable trip. Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai cost?
+
Prices start at $2249 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 8-Day All-inclusive Private Tour to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
