    This experience was so...

This experience was so fun. Very well organized. Friendly staff everywhere. Made sure we made it back to the ship on time. The hike is no joke. Be prepared to climb. But the payoff is well worth it. Dune buggies are a blast as well

Amazing Service!!! Ask For Alfredo & Elvin

Alfredo & Elvin were AMAZING! Been to a bunch of counties and around the world, and these guys were the best. Next time we visit we will be getting them again! So friendly with the kids. They were so informative, and hooked us up.

Response from the operator: Alfredo is one of the best we have; we always try to have him serve our customers!

    Super fun experience

This tour was definitely worth it. From the pickup to the guides and the photos! Having transportation was so helpful as these places would be hard to find on your own. Just remember to bring cash for tipping the guides 😁

Response from the operator: Thank you for traveling with us and discovering the beauty of Puerto Plata.

    Awesome Experience!

We decided to go with this company because it was much cheaper than cruise line. When booking excursion outside of cruise, make sure your tour times align with cruise port times. Although company was aware of cruise times, so that was great. It was easy to find the tour company when we docked at Taino Bay. Set up of the dock area was a lot nicer than expected, with shops, restaurants and day pass at their facilities (looked nice). Also, great that when we met our driver, it was just us, so we got a private tour. Our driver, Santos, was great! He gave us waters, had WiFi in his car and even gave us all the sweetest mangos. The tour company doesn’t control the waterfall excursion times or guides but knew we had to be back at ship by 2PM, so instead of 7 swimming spots, we did 3 and that was good enough for us and lots of fun. We were 2 cool moms and 2 teens (LOL). We hiked to waterfalls (1/2 hour), through cool creeks/bridge and it was a little busy. You have options to go down natural slides, jump or go down ladder. We jumped off and did natural slides, super fun and nice to be in cool water since it was so hot. Bring your own water shoes, I had sneakers that were also water shoes, but the rest of our group had to rent water shoes (which had seen better days). Our tour guides at the falls were great (can’t remember names), guiding us and taking pictures/ videos for us. We did not purchase their media, so we tipped them for their time and for taking our own pics/videos. Bring plastic phone protectors or don’t bring phones as they will get wet. We were then driven to the buggy part of the tour. You will need the goggles for your ride. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure our buggies would make it, they looked a bit rough and we drove through some streets we probably shouldn’t have been on. They also take you through a Dominican family’s tiny home, with a little shop. I could have done without this part, as the stuff they had was too expensive for stuff they probably made right there. Other than this, we had an awesome time! Wear only your bathing suits, be prepared to be fully immersed in water while riding and keep your mouths closed! It was crazy and so much fun! We were able to take photos with our phones in our protectors but guides also took videos/photos during tour which we purchased because they were amazing. We just split between the 2 families, I think it was $70 total; they Airdrop to you on the spot. Totally recommend this tour!

Response from the operator: We hope this adventure is just the first of many with us. Thank you!

    Amazing

I did the waterfall and Dune buggy and it was the greatest experience of my life. The hike to the waterfall really isn’t that bad it’s like 25 minutes tops. The waterfalls are absolutely amazing. The water is ice, cold almost and our guide Alfredo was the best driver ever. The dune buggies was amazing you ride along the beach you go through little rivers. I will 1000% be doing this again

Response from the operator: We're delighted to hear you're taking away unforgettable memories. Thank you!

7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.

How much does 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.

Is 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 115 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy?

    +

Around 40 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 7 Waterfalls Damajagua and Dune Buggy start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
