Puerto Plata Excursions & Tours
The tour starts at the open-air visitor center and the excellent scenery where you will be able to see the amazing mountains surrounding the place, then we will pick up helmets and life jackets for the trip. After getting ready, we will start walking in the thick forest, passing through walkways and also seeing multiple of the local plants and flowers, then we will stop at the top to rest on the mountain, where we will begin to descend through the waterfalls, the different levels of the waterfalls are passed by jumping, swimming and sliding down the water slides. At the end of the tour you will have the option to drink rum or the traditional drink mamajuana which is totally natural Dominican, as well as soda or water, sometimes we do not stop to provide natural fruits to our clients for added excitement! This tour includes access to the 7 waterfalls of the place.

Alfredo and the team are the GOAT!
Absolutely awesome! From the pickup at the port to transportation, to the tour guides themselves and the experience in the waterfalls and cliff jumping - it was a great time! Alfredo Sanchez and the entire team were great and made the most of every experience! They made us rum drinks and taught us some Spanish. The ride to and from the waterfall excursion hike was full of music, drinks and an overall great time. I would trust Alfredo with my life. The experience itself was fun! Long and steep hike up to the falls, so make sure you’re in good shape before booking! We walked through water in between rocks, sliding down rock slides and jumping off cliffs about 18 and 22 feet. It was awesome! Wear comfy water shoes and don’t plan on bringing a backpack to the hike itself as you’ll be wearing life jackets and will be fully immersed in water a lot of the time!

An Unforgettable Experience – Highly Recommend!
Our Waterfall Adventure in Puerto Plata was hands down one of the highlights of our cruise! From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized, exciting, and exceeded our expectations. A huge shoutout to our driver and tour guide, Santos. He was absolutely fantastic! He made us feel comfortable and reassured from the moment we met him. Santos was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared interesting information about Puerto Plata along the way. Most importantly, he was very mindful of our cruise ship schedule, carefully managing our timing so we had plenty of time to enjoy the excursion while ensuring we returned to the port well ahead of departure. That peace of mind made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The waterfalls themselves were breathtaking and so much fun! Every jump, slide, and swim was an adventure, and the guides made everyone feel safe while keeping the energy high. We also can't say enough about our photographer, Jackson. He did an outstanding job capturing every exciting moment of our adventure. The photos and videos were absolutely incredible—professional, fun, and full of memories we'll treasure forever. He somehow managed to catch all the best moments while letting us fully enjoy the experience. If you're visiting Puerto Plata, don't hesitate to book this excursion. The beautiful scenery, the thrilling waterfalls, the exceptional service from Santos, and the amazing memories captured by Jackson made this a true five-star experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!

The most fun experience we’ve had yet! Alfredo, our driver, truly went above and beyond to make sure our time in the DR was unforgettable. His kindness and hospitality set the tone for the entire day. The journey up to the waterfalls is no joke—be prepared for a lot of stairs—but it’s absolutely worth it. The guides were fantastic, providing water along the way (which we definitely needed!) and even taking photos if you bring a waterproof phone case. After the hike, the lunch was phenomenal and exactly what we needed to refuel. We also had the chance to explore Puerto Plata, and our tour guide Franchesco made it such a fun experience, showing us some amazing spots around the city. I truly can’t recommend this excursion enough—an unforgettable adventure from start to finish!

Great Driver
Santos was waiting for us when we left the port. He was amazing. He was so friendly. Explained aspects of the DR. He had drinks available. He waited for us while we were on our excursion. Such a good guy. I’d want him to be our driver over and over again.
