Absolutly fantastic
Outstanding birding and Primates experience in Uganda The organization of the entire trip was excellent, and Davis was a fantastic guide from start to finish. He is a very experienced and highly competent birder with an impressive knowledge of Uganda’s best birding locations. He knows exactly where to find the different species and is highly motivated, committed, and always eager to make the most of every birding opportunity. A particular highlight was the excellent integration of the gorilla and chimpanzee experiences into the birding itinerary. Everything was very well coordinated and fitted perfectly into the overall trip, making it a wonderfully balanced combination of birding and wildlife experiences. On top of his professional skills, Davis is a very friendly, cheerful, and easy-going person. Traveling and birding with him was great fun, and his enthusiasm made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate birding guide in Uganda – and for a perfectly organized combination of birding, gorillas and chimpanzees! @rainer_birding_the_world

Fantastic birding with Davis Kibuga.
The July birdwatching trip to Uganda exceeded my expectations, both in the number of birds and the diversity of species we observed. Kibuga Davis delivered the planned itinerary and also added several extra birding hotspots along the way, giving us the chance to see species that were not originally expected. When our plans had to change because the target birds were not found in Semuliki National Park, Kibuga quickly adapted the itinerary. Thanks to his flexibility, we were able to visit both Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park, making excellent use of the extra time. Forest birding is never easy, but Kibuga's outstanding knowledge, experience, and local network made the trip highly successful. The birds we saw were a direct result of his expertise and dedication. I highly recommend Kibuga Davis as a birding guide and tour organizer. He is professional, resourceful, and truly committed to helping his clients achieve their birding goals. I would happily join another trip with him.

10 days Birding Tour and mammals
The communication for planning the tour was easy. Payments of the birding tour were tracked by invoices. Excellent value for money included the community lodges which offered a different perspective of the country. The planed itinerary (10 days) was followed, the lodges were good to very good and the food was always excellent. The guide Alex was excellent to detect all birds and mammals. Despite some issues with the car at the beginning of the tour we had an unforgettable 10 days birding tour with the team of Wide birding Eco Tour Akuna matata with Davis and Wide birding Eco Tour

Very high quality
I went on an individually designed trip of 6 days, and managed to visit 3 national parks, as well as the urban eco-park in Kigali and some other stops on the way, including Gashora swamp. It was my first time in Rwanda, and so, of the over 240 bird species I saw, almost all were new to me. My guide Alex was extremely knowledgeable both for identifying the birds and for explaining their behaviour. Extremely highly recommended!

Best Birding trip ever
Wide Birding has been super professional from the preparation (very proactive, quick direct answers, adapted tour and price). Once there it was a permanent enchantment on the birds watched, the places. Davis has always a bottle of water ready or other attention. He is very outgoing so knows everyone, always get you the best seats on boats, visits... The guide that other travelers envy you. The lodge were very nice always with something special, a view over the valley, a garden full of birds, the vicinity to a swamp, a service or team, a very good cuisine... that really made you love the place. That's a great value for money. Davis has so many secrets of where to find the dream bird you want. A special owl, a kingfisher? I loved my trip to Uganda and I can't wait to set up a new trip to Uganda, Kenya or Tanzania. Thank you. David

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.
How much does 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife cost?
+
Prices start at $2,466 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.
Is 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7 Days Uganda Birding and Wildlife start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kampala?
+
On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kampala?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kampala?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
