Ecuatraveling; Where trail running meets Ecuadorian Beauty

Epic 3-week personal tailored trail running adventure with Pablo and Ecuatraveling – the ultimate altitude training before UTMB Quito ultra trail race! From conquering Rucu Pichincha and Illiniza Norte to the unforgettable summit of Cotopaxi, challenging high-altitude páramo runs, every day pushed my limits in the best way. Pablo’s expert planning, encouragement, and love for Ecuador made it seamless – he’s not just the co-owner of Ecuatravelling, but now a lifelong friend. Absolute 5⭐ experience, Pablo who went above and beyond on all aspects of my stay in Ecuador from logistics, accommodation, route planning, running guides, hosting, tours and food.

Response from the operator: What an unforgettable journey we shared! From Rucu and Illiniza to the Cotopaxi summit, every moment on the trail was special, not just because of the mountains, but because of the energy and friendship you brought along the way. I’m so glad everything came together smoothly and that Ecuador could be the perfect place to prepare and enjoy before your Quito UTMB adventure. Having you here went far beyond guiding, it felt like running with a lifelong friend. Already looking forward to the next adventure together! 🏔️✨ Ecuatraveling team - Pablo

Amazing experience doing trail running around Quito

This experience have been amazing. We have visited lovely places around Quito. Running paths were great to run and have a great and productive trail running training. Our hosts and guides have a lot of experience, they are really kind, adventurous, funny, experienced and also they have shared a lot about Ecuador culture, history, people. In terms of running and hiking they have been also really helpful with tips and techniques for a great experience on trail running and hiking. Having mountaineering in Cotopaxi was an unforgetful experience. We would love to go back soon and continue playing and running in their backyard. They are so lucky to have such amazing places to explore.

Response from the operator: Apreciada Denisse, Muchisimas gracias por tomarte el tiempo para contarnos sobre su experiencia con nuestro programa de Trail Running, para nosotros el compromiso de brindar una experiencia única , hace que cada visitante se convierta en un elemento especial y nos esforzamos por mostrar lugares espectaculares de nuestro país . Siempre bienvenidos Ecuatraveling Staff

How far in advance should I book 7 Days Trail Running Camp in The Andes?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quito can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

+

On Outty we rank every Quito experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cotopaxi tour from Quito -horseback ride and hike-NO TOURISTY way, Baños Full Day Tour from Quito Including Entrances and Activities, Gastronomic and Cultural Walking Tour of Quito with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quito?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quito?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
