Good experience
We had an excellent experience with this bike tour company. The bikes were in great condition, the route was well planned, and the scenery was beautiful throughout the tour. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable, sharing interesting facts about the area while keeping a relaxed and enjoyable pace. The whole experience was well organized from start to finish, and it was a fantastic way to explore places we might not have discovered on our own. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, active, and memorable experience.

Buen Camino!
We had an unforgettable experience! The crew at Top bike was attentive and knowledgeable and friendly. We met some great people, rode thru beautiful and varied countryside and cities, ate delicious food and stayed in amazing hotels. Reaching Santiago was a breathtaking experience—but the journey was the best part !

Self Guided bike tour from Porto - Santiago de Copmpostela
This was an amazing experience. The company was great, so helpful and had everything organised for us. My husband & I did the self-guided tour, and the pre-set Garmin was easy to follow every day, it took us from one hotel to the next. The hotels were super, all very helpful, and stored the bikes overnight. Our cases always arrived before we did each day. Everyone on the team at Top Bike Tours was super helpful, we hope to go back and do another:) Denise & Mike

The Way of St. James Bike Tour Oct 2025.
Six Seattle recreational cyclists (58y to 66y) review of Top Bike’s supported Portuguese Camino route. Top Bike delivered and enabled our group to experience an amazing trip! We had good luck with the weather for the entire week (13-19Oct25)— cool mornings and temperate afternoons; no rain. The five-star rating is for all the logistics, accommodations, equipment, support van (snacks and breaks), and excellent support staff (guidance and safety — lead, sweeper cyclists, and van driver) provided by Top Bike. Their support staff provided excellent service and encouragement, along with new or almost new MTB Trek (29-wheel) bikes used on this trip. The rest was up to us: one’s attitude and aptitude (cycling skill level) made this a challenging, arduous, fun and satisfying journey. Take care to read and adhere to the “requirements - additional information” for this trip — no medical or mobility issues, 6-8 hours of riding - 8am to 4pm, and a moderate physical fitness level. Preparation by training to climb moderate hills and unpaved gravel paths, is a plus for this trip. There were many different surfaces, cobblestones, boardwalks, busy urban streets, congested narrow bridges, traffic circles, tight turns and zigzags on village roads, sandy paths, many short to moderate climbs, and long descents on highway roads. Our group was challenged but found the stamina (remember your chamois butter) to enjoy this memorable vacation and experience spectacular coastal scenery, the castle, the tower by the river, the food (especially the seafood), historical chapel and churches, and biking vibe from the support staff and the rest of the group 16 total riders, and the elation of final walk into the Plaza del Obradoiro. We can’t stress enough how valuable the support staff was to us and how deserving of 5 stars+plus 5 more to João, Felipe, and Alberto were. Would we do it again? Yes, definitely! But…maybe we’ll opt for e-bikes next time! Bom Camniho!, Buen Camino!, Good travels and be safe by way of St. James.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this outstanding and detailed review! We’re truly honored that you chose Top Bike Tours Portugal for your Camino de Santiago cycling experience and delighted to know it was such a memorable journey for your group. We’re very glad the weather cooperated and that our logistics, accommodations, equipment, and overall support allowed you to fully focus on the ride and the experience itself. The Camino by bike is indeed demanding, with its mix of surfaces, terrain, and long riding days, and we greatly appreciate how clearly you highlighted the importance of preparation and fitness for future riders. Reaching the Plaza del Obradoiro is always an emotional moment, and we’re thrilled you experienced that sense of accomplishment together, surrounded by great scenery, food, camaraderie, and the Camino spirit. Thank you again for your trust, your recommendation, and for riding with such a positive attitude. We’d be more than happy to welcome you back, with e‑bikes next time! Bom Caminho, Buen Camino, and safe travels always. 🚴♂️

What a great way to experience the Camino to Santiago de Compostela. As a solo traveler and first time in this part of the world, they made my experience seemless and were very attentive to everything I needed for the trip. Experiencing the trail this way was magical and the places where we stayed were great. I would highly recommend this "WAY" to Santiago.

7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago cost?
+
Prices start at $2940 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago take?
+
Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7-Day The Way of St James Bike Tour- The Coast Path - Camino to Santiago start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
