A real jungle experience!
I spent 8 days in the Amazon with Hector and 3 Matses guides: Armando, Denis, and Hernán, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable trips I've ever taken. What I appreciated most is that this wasn't a "tourist version" of the Amazon. We traveled deep into the rainforest, spent days away from civilization, slept in simple camps, fished for our meals, learned survival and hunting, and experienced the jungle in a way that very few visitors probably do. We even built a small raft from scratch using materials from the forest. It was physically demanding at times, but also very rewarding Héctor did an outstanding job organizing and planning the logistics. Everything ran smoothly, so the focus was on the experience. A real highlight was the Matsés and their almost frightening level of knowledge about living in the jungle, which made the experience feel very genuine. This isn't a luxury trip, it's a way to really experience the real, humid, rainy, hot, dangerous and unforgiving jungle, while still feeling safe Thank you, Héctor, Denis, Armando, and Hernán, for sharing your knowledge and your culture. It was a fantastic experience.

A REAL survival stage, and a human experience
It was one of the most important experiences of my life. There really was a before and after. I wanted to acquire the basics of survival to be quieter for my future expeditions. It's done! Edwin organized things very well. And I was greeted with open arms by Hector, Sergio, Élan and Bili. It was mainly because of them that I was able to move forward. I had a human experience, more than just training. This is a REAL survival camp. Not a guided tour of the jungle. You will really learn to become self-sufficient. Unless you ask, the idea is not to walk around observing the animals, which you will see/hear anyway. It is indeed learning in realistic conditions of survival. Nothing insurmountable, though. I was very well supervised by the guys and they were very careful that I did not exceed my limits. Very kind and attentive. Hector, who has been present before and after, is a very human and exciting person. A character! Which I recommend to discover. It's not going to be an easy week. But you'll grow up! I absolutely recommend! 100% satisfied.
