A Wonderful Time
This week long excursion around South Africa was terrific. The accommodations were top notch and we were able to pack a lot of sightseeing into the week. Just what we were looking for in this tour. Marvelous job, Jakes,
Response from the operator: It was a big pleasure, all went well and you were a wonderful couple. Thank you so much, I am still in awe from the aardvark you saw. Please call again, Jakes

Great tour of Cape Town and the surrounding areas
My son and I had the best time!! Jakes was a wonderful guide, and the scenery, the animals, the attractions were all amazing. The food was also excellent and very reasonable, and the lodgings were great as well - we particularly enjoyed our 2 night stay at a small hotel right on the beach at Jeffrey's Bay. Jakes also recommended a very good tour guide for us in Cape Town after our tour with him was over. We have incredible pictures and incredible memories!!
Response from the operator: It was a great privilege to host you on this tour, all went well and it turned out to be an amazing tour with all your valuable inputs. It will be an honor to have your peers on my tours, please spread the word and call again. PS: You are welcome to post some of your incredible pictures. Best regards, Jakes

Breathe taking scenery
The itinerary was prefect as we wanted to see Cape Town and the garden route without having to book different separate tours.Jakes was very responsive with all our questions throughout. As we were the only booking so ended up as a private tour. Our driver was courteous and punctual. Gave us lots of informative history background to SA . We have learned so much. The Cape peninsula has captured our Hearts.
Response from the operator: Your review is very inspiring and motivational. It was a great pleasure doing the tour for you, and it will be great to welcome you to South Africa again. Jakes

Without a fault!
Great planning and great guide as well. Jake was responsive and replied to my email queries very promptly. The guide Graham was always punctual, knowledgeable and without a fault. There were a few small hiccups (e.g. we discovered that there was no AC in the lodging), but Jake and Graham were quick to address the issue (i.e. provided an air cooler) and the trip went on fine. If you are going to tour South Africa and uncertain about the local conditions, then you should consider Amatungulu Tours!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the honest and great review, we always tries our best to give visitors the best experiences and packages. Please call again, Jakes and Graham

A tour with many highlights
I became aware of the trip and the guide Jake via the homepage of Amatungulu Tours. The uncomplicated and fast contact, the super nice program points within the trip, the support before and after the trip have absolutely convinced. Jake skilfully took into account unpredictable adjustments due to the initial effects of the corona virus and replaced the program items. He has always paid attention to our health and safety. We also had a particular interest in regional cuisine, which is why we could enjoy excellent fish/oyster restaurants and specialty restaurants (ostrich fillet) with great views Jake speaks Dutch and some German in addition to English. This has facilitated many things. We did two tours with Jake (7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park and 4 days Kruger Park Big 5 Safari and Awesome Panorama Route). I would visit South Africa again anytime and immediately with Jake as tour guide to experience unforgettable experiences again. I strongly recommend a guided tour, as there were great tips and sights for Insiders and the security situation requires a trained eye, such as that of our tour guide.
Response from the operator: It was a big honor to do the arrangements and to guide the tour for you. Gerne. Your positive comments are a good inspiration and be sure that this company will take your feedback to make even more improvements. Thank you for the booking.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Hike Table Mountain or Lions Head in Cape Town Like a Local, Cape Point and Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park?
+
Included: Professional guide; National Park fees; Driver/guide; Lunch; and Hotel pickup (selected hotels only). Not included: Excess luggage charges (where applicable); Drinks; Gratuities; and Food and drinks, unless specified. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point instead from 47 listed pickup locations in and around Cape Town. Be ready about 30 minutes before the start time.
What languages is 7-day Cape Town, Winelands, Garden Route and Addo National Park offered in?
+
