Amazing

The lessons are great and the surf teachers are really good! Mojosurf is the best place to learn surfing and meet a lot of new people. Its also amazing that the camp in Byron is next to a super relaxed hostel with loads of fun activities! Would definitely recommend!

Surf and stay!

I am on my 3rd day of surf and stay and I’ve had a great time so far. The instructors are very good, you get the feeling that they know everything and feel very safe. They are very supportive and makes everyone in a good mood 😁 can’t wait to get out there today and enjoy the rest of my stay!

Worked on my footwork

Had a one day surf lesson at Byron Bay. My teacher was James, he helped me improve my footwork. Roos and Rick at the surfshop are really nice and helpfull, and you can always walk by if you need something.

Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you for your feedback. I am happy to hear that we helped improve your footwork on the surfboard!

Go for the adventure...be open minded for the accommodation or book somewhere seperate

BYRON BAY- Mojo Surf I had a sort of tailor made itinerary because I was keen to mix with the fitness side too so opted into the Cross Fit sessions you can exchange for the Surf lesson. HIGHLY recommend both activities. I had 2 surf lessons and 1 CrossFit (paid for extra CrossFit direct with them also so some days I doubled up) and felt I achieved a lot across the 3 days! 5 nights of accommodation and food included in the package also which is super reasonable. The breakfast is ridiculously awesome at Arts Factory where your Tipi tents are. The coffee insane. Recommend the bacon and egg batch or Granola and yoghurt set you up for that early start. Lunch was usually a choice of pasta that keeps you filled up but no greens! Dinner in the evening was different venues and very social! Okay food for a big group. Accommodation: The Tipi's and shared bathrooms weren't for me and I hightailed it out of there after 2 nights. It's clean-ish but not super clean. If you can go with an open mind and grin/bear it go for it. It's basic but okay because really you want to be out and about anyway! Arts Factory is pretty busy and lively at ALL times and I found it noisey...but I also wasn't in the spirit, jet lagged and going to bed at 9pm from energetic days! People were friendly. Arts Factory is a short walk into main part and pleasant. Surfing lessons were good but chilled to create a cool environment. I got to stand up a good few times across the couple of lessons and saw different bits of the coast! They take pretty good photos too which are free if you buy merchandise- and lets face it...the photo standing on a board is essentially all I wanted for a new profile! So I'd basically avoid the accommodation but then you don't get the food! The activities are great. Make use of the bike hire...it's a great way to get around in an extraordinary beautiful part og the world. Get a car too if you have free days and head out a bit to the Waterfalls (Killen Falls and Minnyon falls) and do a sunrise hike (Mount Warning). Be prepared with trainers and a flashlight for the hikes! Enjoy your travels!

6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.

How much does 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane cost?

+

Prices start at $1129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.

Is 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6 Day Great Aussie Surf Adventure from Sydney, Byron Bay or Brisbane start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sydney?

+

On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sydney?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sydney?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
