Wonderful, safe and well organised trip

What a wonderful week spent in Gods country (aptly named). Sanguine are an experienced tour operator who know exactly what the tourists is looking for. Nimisha was so supportive right from booking the holiday. Communication was excellent and prompt. We needed to rearrange our plans and Nimisha reworked our itinerary to suit our needs. Our driver Sumesh was a perfect guide, and helped in any issues that we had such as acquiring SIM cards and advice on restaurants and places of interests. The accommodation was very nice and the staff at each venue were very welcoming and helpful. In all, the tour is excellent value for money and I wouldn’t look anywhere else should I visit the area again. I would also advise anybody looking to discover Kerala to book with Sanguine as they will not be disappointed.

Response from the operator: Dear Mr. Tony, Greetings from Sanguine Holidays Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. We are delighted to know that you had such a memorable experience in Kerala. It was our pleasure to assist you with your travel plans, and we are especially happy to hear that Nimisha and Sumesh helped make your trip smooth and enjoyable. Your appreciation of our service, accommodation, and itinerary means a lot to us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Kerala and South India in the future !

    Wonderful service

My sister and I enjoyed 5 days in the Kerala area,a beautiful part of India. We knew we were in good hands having read the reviews for Sanguine holidays and we weren’t proved wrong. Every and any query received a quick response from Nimisha. The package organised by her was perfect for us. We were met at the airport by Ramesh,a skilled and careful driver who brought us safely to every location. We spent two nights in the beautiful The Blanket Hotel in Munnar, enjoyed our overnight on a houseboat, ably looked after by Shakhi and final night near the airport. We highly recommend Sanguine holidays and Nimisha for a first class service.

Pros: Easy to arrange, Nimisha was able to offer choices for where to stay and what to do and was very helpful. Our driver Arjun was brilliant - nothing too much trouble. Hotels were good and trips excellent. We were upgraded to the best cottage with own pool after the boat trip. Do the treks, do visit Spice Plantation, Saree shops and do visit Periyar Tiger reserve and suggest you do the self guided walk followed by boat trip at the reserve. We saw elephants! Cons: the Houseboat 1 day stay was a bit dull, food was not good on the houseboat nor was the mooring spot - but it was only one day. I’d recommend a short house boat trip instead and save the night for another hotel. We would use Sanguine again.

Response from the operator: Dear Ms. Linda, Greetings from Sanguine Holidays Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We are truly happy to know that you found the arrangements easy and that you enjoyed the hotels, trips, and the upgrade to the private pool cottage. Your kind words about Arjun and your recommendation of the treks, Spice Plantation, saree shops, and Periyar Tiger Reserve mean a lot to us, spotting elephants is always a special moment ! We have noted your valuable suggestion regarding the houseboat stay. Just to clarify, if we arrange a houseboat cruise for a few hours along with a hotel stay for the night, the overall cost becomes higher. This is because the same houseboat is used for both day cruises and overnight stays, and the charges for a day cruise are almost similar to the night stay rate. In addition, backwater resorts are generally expensive. As a result, the total package cost increases. However, we completely understand your point and will make sure to clearly explain both options to future guests so they can choose according to their preference and budget. It was a pleasure arranging your Kerala trip, and we truly look forward to welcoming you again with Sanguine Holidays.

Kerala Sanguine Holidays - An amazing experience!

Kerala Sanguine Holidays delivered a great trip through this wonderful region of India. Our driver, Sumesh, was punctual, knowledgable, helpful and really accommodating throughout the journey. Two of us went together and each hotel/resort/boathouse was clean, comfortable and staffed by very welcoming hosts. We went from Kochi to Munnar to Thekkady to Alleppey and finally back to Kochi (5 days in total). Each stay was reasonably priced and even the optional extras (guided tours, boat trips, Safari, etc.) were good value for money. The best thing about travelling around Kerala is the quiet nature of almost every village/town/city. It is not as densely populated as some parts in the north of India so there is plenty of scope to walk around freely and enjoy your activities/tours without feeling overcrowded. Another great feature of this region is the cuisine. Superb at every location - be it the resort restaurant or the local options in the bigger towns. Cocount and seafood feature heavily in the diet here so if you're a fan of either then this is the place for you to visit. We must thank Nimisha and Sumesh for organising and executing such a great tour. She kept us updated regularly to check in on us and she was always available to help with activity bookings or questions we had. I would recommend this trip with Sanguine Holidays to anyone who wants to experience South India at their own leisure, with relaxing journeys and great food!

THE tour operator to use for Kerala.

Nimisha and Sanguine holidays provided a wonderful 8 day experience. The holiday was entirely tailored to us as a couple and when our dates changed the new itinerary was prepared without any issue. The hotels we stayed in were very comfortable and two were from an eco-outfit: we were taken on guided walks. Our driver Achu could not have been more helpful and, between him and our schedule, we were given glimpses into Keralan life. As well as our houseboat experience, highlights were been guided round an organic spice farm by a professor - and then going zipwiring!!

Response from the operator: Dear Ms. Lucinda, Greetings from Sanguine Holidays ! Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and encouraging review. It was truly a pleasure for Sanguine Holidays team to design this personalised 8 days Kerala experience for you. We are delighted to know that the flexibility in rescheduling, the comfortable hotels, eco-stay experiences, guided walks, and unique activities like the spice farm visit and ziplining all added to your enjoyment. A special thank you for your kind words about Achu. We are glad he could make your journey smooth and help you experience authentic glimpses of Keralan life, along with memorable moments like the houseboat stay. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back to Kerala again in the future. Warm wishes from all of us at Sanguine Holidays.

5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kochi.

How much does 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin cost?

    +

Prices start at $363 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kochi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin take?

    +

Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kochi is not rushed.

Is 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable nightlife in Kochi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kochi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kochi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Nights Private Tour Cochin/Munnar/Thekkady/Houseboat/Cochin start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kochi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kochi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kochi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Local Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour, Kochi Sightseeing Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pickup From Cruise Ships. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kochi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kochi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
