Felipe. Cabo Capitan El Mejor!
Felipe is a great fisherman and a great captain. Put us on bonito quickly, followed up with a school of yellowfin then we fished inshore for roosters. Hooked a bonito, then a 200 lb. Shark (looked like a blue shark but I might be wrong) gulped it down. We fought it for almost an hour, got it to the boat, he handling it at the end, sunk the gaff and it freaked out took off (with the gaff) and broke off. But If anyone is going to put big fish in your boat with you just cranking the reel, it’s Felipe. Cabo Capitan El mejor!!

Caught Marlin on the panga
We came down from Fairbanks, Alaska for our anniversary and I wanted to try some real Cabo fishing. Sushi Time Fishing delivered big time. Booked the Sushi Time II panga boat and it was perfect, just us, the captain, and the open water. Less than an hour out trolling live bait, we hooked up with a striped marlin pushing 7 feet. Captain Pedro knew exactly what he was doing. The fish put up one hell of a fight, 45 minutes of jumps, runs, and deep dives but Pedro kept the boat in position and talked us through every move. Finally got her boatside and Pedro pulled it in. On the way back he radioed the dock, and by the time we pulled in the processor was already there waiting. Gricelda's Smokehouse cleaned it, froze it, and vacuum-sealed everything so we can haul it home to Alaska without any headaches. Super smooth. The panga is small but was comfortable for the two of us and felt just right for getting into fish quick. No need to get a large cabin cruiser for two people. Juan Carlos handled all the booking and was very responsive. He is super professional and made everything easy. If you're coming down on vacation and want a legit, no-BS fishing day in Cabo, this is the outfit. We'll definitely be back next year. Highly recommend. Solid 10/10 from us. 🎣
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for fishing with us and for this amazing review. We’re very happy you had a great experience and that your marlin trip was unforgettable. It was a pleasure having you both on board, and we’ll be ready to welcome you again next year in Cabo.

FISH STEALERS
They stole our biggest fish. Super shady company. Told us we could only keep 6 and in the background only gave us the super small one. Then took off fast in the boat before we knew what happened. Bad ending to my birthday weekend my wife surprised me with. Highly advise anyone to use a better company. Very unfriendly.
Response from the operator: Hi Jason, We’re truly sorry that your experience didn’t meet your expectations, especially on such a special occasion like your birthday. At Sushi Time, we strive to offer honest, friendly, and transparent service, and we’re genuinely concerned to hear that you left feeling disappointed. We also want to clarify that regulations for sportfishing establish a maximum catch limit per license in order to protect marine sustainability. It’s our responsibility and commitment to operate within those guidelines. It’s important to mention that you did not make your reservation through this channel, which limited our ability to manage the experience directly. However, had the situation been reported on the spot, we would have been more than willing to take immediate action and clarify any misunderstandings in person. That said, we’re happy to know you had a successful day of fishing and, in fact, were able to take home more than what is typically permitted under a sportfishing license. We understand your frustration and regret any grief this situation may have caused. We truly value your feedback and will take it into account to continue improving. If you’re open to it, we’d love the opportunity to make things right and leave you with a better impression of our operation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly so we can explore how to make it up to you on a future visit. Warm regards, Juan Carlos Sushi Time

Awesome day fishing!
The views of Cabo were amazing and the fishing was awesome. The guides were very knowledgeable and the customer service from booking to fishing was a great experience. And to top it off we saw a couple pods of whales

Enjoyable Time
Juan was great during the booking process. He responded quickly and was very patient with all the questions. The crew was also friendly and knowledgeable. Our boat was operated by Antonio and Cristian. We went out about 2-3 miles. What I liked best was that it was just me and my son. They also offered a bag lunch, drinks, and snacks that could be added to the package. Finally, they offered transportation from and to our hotel in Cabo San Jose (Barcelo). They even let us hang out in Cabo Dan Lucas before taking us back, which was nice. I highly recommend this sport fishing company.

Why this scores 36
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.
How much does 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas cost?
+
Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.
Is 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 36 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5-Hours Private Fishing Experience in Cruiser in Cabo San Lucas start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?
+
On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Los Cabos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
