    Kilimandjaro with the best team

Alfred and his entire team gave us an absolutely exceptional Kilimanjaro climb, far beyond what we could have imagined. ❤️ Alfred and Hendri were our guides, and throughout the climb, they always looked after us with an enormous amount of professionalism, kindness, and attention. Even during rest times at camp, they regularly came to check our oxygen saturation and ensure that we were feeling well, both physically and mentally. We always felt safe and supported. The rest of the team was also wonderful. The porters played an essential role and always took great care of our belongings, which they kindly set down at each camp where we were to sleep. Our head chef, who prepared delicious, generous meals for us every day! Every morning, we even had the chance to receive a cup of hot tea right at our bedside. Little touches that made this adventure even more special. ❤️ Alfred also took the time to help us discover Tanzania, its history, its culture, and the origins of Kilimanjaro. Thanks to his stories and explanations, we learned a great deal and experienced this climb with a whole new dimension. Thanks to this exceptional team, we experienced moments filled with happiness, sharing, laughter, and above all, a lot of love. We managed to reach Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro, and we know that without them, none of this would have been possible. We will keep this adventure in our hearts forever, but above all, the magnificent people we met. Alfred, Hendri, the porters, the cook, and the entire team: thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your patience, your energy, and for taking care of us the way you did. The Kiwioto agency is truly very lucky to work with such exceptional people. You made our dream a reality and we will never be grateful enough to you. Thank you infinitely for everything. ❤️ The Family ❤️ Asante sana, and see you very soon, in Tanzania, in France, or elsewhere! 🇹🇿❤️🇫🇷

Response from the operator: Merci beaucoup pour ce magnifique message. ☺ Bien cordialement, L’équipe Kiwoito Africa Safaris

Kilimanjaro, safari and Zanzibar. My dream vacation in Africa!

I had an amazing experience with Kiwoito Africa Safari and would absolutely recommend them. Traveling to Africa has been a dream of mine for years, and they helped me put together a trip that matched both my budget and the things I wanted to do. My plan was to climb Kilimanjaro, go on safari, and then spend some relaxing days in Zanzibar. Kiwoito helped me organize everything so smoothly. They were always quick to reply whenever I had questions, which gave me a lot of peace of mind before the trip. Kilimanjaro: I did a five-day trek to Uhuru Peak on the Marangu route. It wasn’t easy with only a short time to acclimatize, but I made it to the summit thanks to my guide, Sebastian, and his team. Sebastian clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and his support made all the difference. I couldn’t have done it without them. Safari: I visited Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. One day we had some car trouble, but my guide and driver, Samir, handled it really well and made sure I didn’t miss out on anything. I also got to do a hot air balloon safari, which was incredible—and Kiwoito managed to arrange it for me at a much better price than I’d seen online. Zanzibar: At the end, I spent some days in Zanzibar. The hotel I had originally booked was canceled last minute, but even though it was high season, Kiwoito found me a really nice alternative. It turned out perfectly, and the island was the relaxing break I needed after all the adventures. A special thanks also to Evaline, who stayed in touch with me every day during the trip and helped me whenever I needed something. All in all, I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time, even though I was traveling alone. This trip was everything I hoped for and more. Big thanks to Sebastian, Samir, Evaline, and the whole Kiwoito team!

Response from the operator: Wow! Thank you so much for you magnificent review! We're thrilled to hear that every part of your journey from summiting Mount Kilimanjaro to experiencing the wildlife of the Serengeti and relaxing on the beaches of Zanzibar was exactly what you expected. We’re especially grateful for your kind words about Sebastian, Samir, and Evaline. Each of them is truly dedicated to making every guest feel safe, supported and cared. We’ll be sure to pass along your thanks! We also appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the hotel and vehicle situation and we’re glad we could resolve them quickly to keep your adventure running smoothly. Thank you again for trusting us, for your recommendation, and for being such a wonderful guest. We hope to welcome you back Kiwoito Africa Safaris for another unforgettable adventure in Tanzania!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.

How much does 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking in Marangu Route cost?

    +

Prices start at $2,400 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking in Marangu Route take?

Is 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking in Marangu Route worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking in Marangu Route?

How far in advance should I book 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking in Marangu Route?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking in Marangu Route start and how do I get there?

What are the best things to do in Moshi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
