The best tour of my Peru trip
This tour was by far the highlight of my Peru trip. Experiencing the jungle so close and authentically was unique. We saw many different animals from extremely close distances. The organization, staff, food, and transportation were professional at all times. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our tour guides Vidal and Jasmani. I felt very comfortable with you at all times. Also, thanks to Daisy, who provided us with very good food. Additionally, a big thank you to our boat driver and assistant Eric. I will always remember this tour with good memories in mind. I would have liked to stay longer. Absolute recommendation.

Very personal, family-run experience
We joined a 5-day tour into the Reserved Zone of Manu National Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. Because of external reasons, the planning had to be done very spontaneously, but Vidal managed to organize everything on very short notice. He involved his family right away, which made the whole experience feel very personal and well taken care of. The atmosphere during the entire trip was extremely relaxed, friendly, and full of laughter. Vidal grew up in the jungle and has deep knowledge of the local nature, wildlife, and environment. His English is very good, making explanations and conversations easy and enjoyable. The food was another highlight of the tour. Vidal’s wife, Daisy, cooked amazing vegetarian meals for us every day. Even during long boat rides, she managed to prepare fresh food – something we did not expect at all in such a remote place. Manu National Park is a truly unique and magical destination, and experiencing it with such a warm, knowledgeable, and well-organized team made the journey even more special. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Manu experience.
Response from the operator: Dear Claudia, I am very happy that you have fond memories of the Manu Reserve jungle. It was a pleasure to be your host. kind rgards Vidal

Misleading Tour and Poor Service – Not Worth the Time or Money
We do not recommend going on this tour with Vidal. What is stated on the website is not accurate at all. We booked a 5-day, 4-night tour, and it started with the route needing to be changed due to the weather, which is completely understandable. However, instead of an adjusted plan, we were taken to a place where we just waited for the next group who had only booked a 4-day tour. It was a nice place, but there was barely any jungle. When we finally arrived at the proper lodge on day 2, the service was poor. Vidal and his family were indifferent, serving lunch at 11 a.m. and dinner at 8:30 p.m., which is far too long between meals, so we had to ask them to change the schedule. Additionally, the food was always served about 30 minutes later than promised. At the lodge, they were building a new one nearby, and the noise made it feel like we were staying on a construction site. Days 1 and 5 were solely travel days, which was not mentioned on the website either. We spent most of the time in the jungle during the day when the animals are least active, and never in the early morning when most animals and insects are active. We only went to see the clay lick, and that was the only morning walk during the entire five-day trip. Other than that, the itinerary felt careless, and our guide was not very engaged or willing to help maximize our chances of seeing wildlife. The few jungle walks we did do were repetitive and lacked variation, offering little in terms of new sights or experiences. We had to insist on doing a night walk on the last evening, and he finally agreed—reluctantly—to “take a short night walk.” We expressed how disappointed we were during the tour, but nothing improved. After returning, we had to push hard to get any sort of refund. In the end, we were left waiting in a car in Cusco after already traveling for eight hours that day, just to get some money back from a driver who didn’t speak English. Vidal himself couldn’t be bothered to return to Cusco with us and stayed at the lodge, leaving the whole situation unresolved and unprofessional until the very end. We are incredibly disappointed with this experience and regret spending five days that we’ll never get back.

Great jungle experience!
We did 5 day Amazon Tour. It was really a great experience. Vidal is a great host and the transportation there and back was very well organized. The tree houses are very nice and made with love. Also the daily meals were very delicious. Thanks to the chef! We did so many nice things, like night walks, piranha fishing, boat tour, river rafting. Vidal is a very good guide. He knows his jungle pretty good!!! But the location is a little bit different, it is more south then shown on google maps. But never mind. Also the itineray is a bit different as mentioned in the internet. But was also ok, because Vidal is a great person and wants to provide the best possible experience! Highly recommended!!!

An experienced that ill remember for a lifetime
This was definitely worth the extra travel to get here. There's so much wildlife to see on the boats along the way and just spectacular views of the surrounding forest and mountains. We were greeted by our guide Vidal upon arrival who showed us around the lodge and to our rooms which were really nice and spacious with our own toilet and shower. Each day is filled with multiple walks through the Forrest and a night walk each night. Everytime we went out there was something new to see from every insect you can think of, monkeys, tarantulas, caiman, otters, piranhas and an array of birds. We were all fed more than enough food for breakfast lunch and dinner to the point i felt rude for how much was uneaten. If there was one thing I would suggest to bring it would be at least 40% deet big spray and if it doesn't break the bank an electronic big shield for the room. The beds do have mosquito nets but some of the bugs are small enough to get in still through. I would definitely book again with bio manu as the staff, chef and accommodation were all exceptional and I could not fault a thing.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so glad that you were satisfied with our service. We are committed to offering our guests an authentic and enriching experience in the jungle, and it seems that we have achieved this with you. The Bio Manu team is very encouraged to know that you enjoyed the food, accommodation and activities.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $835 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Guided Manu Amazon Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
