Prescription Goggles were available!!!
The tour was great, and as described. ~12 to the boat - mostly shaded. Three stops - one was at the reef, one was in a more sandy area with starfish, and stringrays, and one at a sandbar for some welcome rest and snacks. Time in the water snorkeling is only a part of the 4 hours, of course, but this is a trip for tourists, and beginners. I enjoyed it very much. Oh, and the availability of prescription goggles was a great bonus to my group!

Excellent Experience
Booked this trip here instead of going through the cruise line and I’m so happy I did. It was a fraction of the cost and triple the fun! Finding the meet point was extremely easy, at the port there’s a line for taxis. Just remember to bring cash. It was 15 USD for my family of 4. I just followed the direction. The group was my family of four, another family of 3, and a couple. Our guides were Captain Diego & Luis. Very funny and kind. The ceviche was fresh made and absolutely delicious. Yes they wanted to take pictures, but they absolutely did not press for the us to purchase as some people are saying. They did a wonderfully job, so much I also gave them my taxi money and my family and I just walked back to the port, wasn’t bad. Just a 20 min walk. Book this tour! I would definitely book this tour again.

Beautiful water!
Super beautiful water, with lots of pretty stingray and fishies! Just waiting on our underwater pictures to be sent over!
Response from the operator: Hello, could you please provide your name and the date of your tour? Also, the name of the crew so I can verify your photos.

Very nice snorkeling...
Very nice snorkeling tour. Boat picked up and dropped off at our hotel pier, very convenient! The captain Pablo and tour guide Richardo were super nice. Richardo swam with us and took good care of everyone. We visited a free deep and shallow reefs, gorgeous! The last stop at El Cielo was amazing - giant stingrays just like babies around you, their body touched people's legs - never had experience. Highly recommend this tour

Great time
Had a great time! Experience couple be upgraded with snorkels with valves on the ends to prevent water splashing in and mouthpieces on snorkels that have more than just a tab on each side to bite down on.

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo cost?
+
Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 126 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo?
+
Around 44 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 4 hours of shared snorkeling to El Cielo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
