    Serengeti family trip

Our family of four from Thailand recently returned from a safari in the Serengeti, and we cannot recommend KILISA highly enough for anyone planning a trip to Tanzania. From the very first moment we arrived, the service was impeccable; the seamless pickup at the airport and transfer to our hotel set the tone for a stress-free, professional experience. Throughout the planning stages and during our time in Tanzania, the owner of KILISA was incredibly friendly and supportive. They took the time to explain every detail, ensuring we knew exactly what to expect and helping us feel prepared and excited for the journey ahead. It is rare to find a tour operator who genuinely cares about their guests' comfort and understanding of the local environment as much as they do. The highlight of our tour was undoubtedly our guide, Dennis. He took such excellent care of us throughout the trip, acting not just as a driver but as a knowledgeable companion. His dedication to our experience was evident in how hard he worked to spot the "Big Five." Even when we weren't tracking the iconic animals, he was consistently scanning the landscape, pointing out unique wildlife and fascinating details that are rarely mentioned in standard brochures. His keen eye and passion for the Serengeti truly brought the savannah to life for us. Everything from the logistics to the game drives was executed with professionalism and warmth. Traveling as a family of four, we were reassured and felt so well cared for at every turn. KILISA provided us with memories that we will cherish for a lifetime, and we are so grateful for their hospitality and expertise. If you are looking for a personalized, high-quality, and deeply memorable safari experience, look no further than KILISA.

Amazing 4 Days Mid-Range Tanzania Safari with Kilisa Tours

Amazing 4 Days Mid-Range Tanzania Safari with Kilisa Tours We booked a 4 days Tanzania safari with Kilisa Tours & Safaris covering Tarangire National Park, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, and the experience was excellent from beginning to end. The safari was well organized, and our guide was very knowledgeable about wildlife and Tanzanian culture. The mid-range lodges were clean, comfortable, and located in beautiful areas close to nature. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many more animals during the safari. If you are looking for a reliable Tanzania safari company offering affordable and professional safari packages, Kilisa Tours is highly recommended.

A great safari for the family

A great safari for the family. Was perfectly organized as everything flowed perfectly like clockwork. I mainly did this for the kids because they have been asking lots of questions about the great wildebeest migration and we wanted to gift it to them. We are happy that guide Baraka did not disappoint as we came to sites with the huge wildebeest herds an it was magical. We saw many other different animals and also went on a cultural tour to Lake Eyasi where we met the Hadxabe Bushmen. We enjoyed staying in Lodges for the excellent service and great food. Tanzania is really beautiful and I am happy that I have enjoyed a great trip from Kilisa Tours & Safaris.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful review and for choosing Kilisa Tours & Safaris for your family trip! We are absolutely delighted to hear that everything was perfectly organized and flowed like clockwork for you and the kids. Gifting your children the chance to witness the serengeti wildebeest migration safari firsthand is such a special experience, and we are thrilled that Baraka brought you right to the massive herds for that magical moment. Our driver-guides love answering questions and making wildlife learning fun for younger travelers. It is also fantastic that you paired the wildlife viewing with an immersive Tanzania cultural tour to Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe Bushmen—it truly adds such a meaningful dimension to a family holiday. We are glad you enjoyed the excellent service and great food at the lodges, which are a staple of our premium itineraries, whether guests choose a high-end experience or a custom Tanzania mid-range safari. Thank you again for your kind words about our beautiful country.

Went to a paradise with an amazing guide

From the onset Naick and his team were really great. They handled the booking process with professionalism and passion. They were all genuinely concerned with giving us an amazing time and were not just focused on making money from us. We became very close with our guide Casper and fell in love with way he handled the trip. He was with us for the entire 4 days and he is really good. The parks were all nice, they have similar animals but each place is unique and different in its own way. We saw lions in trees, in Manyara, which is quite odd, the herds of wildebeest were mammoth size in Serengeti, the open plains that stretched for miles and the overhead hot air balloon ride was so cool. Ngorongoro is postcard beautiful and there was so much to see at every turn. I really appreciate the attention to detail paid by our trip organizers because they made it all special. They ensured that we had the best lodges with great food in amazing locations. Thank you all for the time of our lives.

    Unforgettable Adventure in Tanzania

We planned this trip with Naick the Director Kilisa Tours & Safaris. He was readily available to answer our numerous questions about the different options, requirements..... and after lots of back and forth we chose this package and a couple of other activities. The actual trip was splendid, Baraka is an incredible guide and also drove the safari vehicle carefully. We were lucky to see all the big 5 and lots of other animals. Some of the highlights from this trip was catching the live lions bring down a buffalo quite close to our jeep. This was amazing!! We also encountered the wildebeest migration in Serengeti and enjoyed the hot air balloon ride over the grassland. We stayed in three excellent places and our favourite place was the Entamanu Lodge in Ngorongoro. We are so happy with overall safari tour and happily recommend this company and guide.

    +

Prices start at $2,650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

Is 4 days Safari Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 days Safari Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4 days Safari Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4 days Safari Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

What are the best things to do in Moshi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
