An Incredible 4-Day Journey Through New Zealand’s Must-See Highlights

We We recently had the opportunity to explore New Zealand on a 4-day private guided tour starting from Queenstown, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Since we had limited time, our main goal was to see as many of New Zealand’s must-see destinations and iconic experiences as possible, and this tour did exactly that. Our journey began in Queenstown and we headed towards Milford Sound, one of the most spectacular places in New Zealand. The dramatic mountains, waterfalls, and stunning scenery along the way made the entire journey memorable. We then visited the Glowworm Caves. The next day, we travelled towards Aoraki/Mount Cook, where we did the Hooker Valley Track. we continued to Lake Tekapo, where we experienced one of the highlights of the trip — stargazing under the incredibly clear night sky. One of the most memorable parts of the journey was boarding the TranzAlpine train, which took us through some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery before arriving in Christchurch, where our trip came to an end. Overall, this was an amazing and very well-planned introduction to New Zealand. We only wish we had more time to explore even more of this beautiful country! Beautiful Country

We spent amazing 4 days in New Zealand. Started from Queenstown and went to Milford Sound which was absolutely spectacular. Looking back, what I remember most isn't just Milford Sound, Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo, or Queenstown individually. It's the feeling of driving through those incredible landscapes with no stress about what came next. Everything was taken care of, but the trip still felt personal and unhurried. The vehicle also deserves a mention. It was extremely comfortable, clean, and had plenty of legroom, filled with water, drinks and snacks to keep you hydrated. If you're considering seeing New Zealand on a private tour, I would absolutely recommend this experience.

An Unforgettable Trip through an Unforgettable Country

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish our 4 day trip, very well organized, comfortable hotels, transportation, activities and excellent guide. Itinerary was packed with incredible places yet everything felt smooth and enjoyable. We started our journey in Queenstown and headed straight toward Milford Sound, with breathtaking scenic stops along the way. The landscapes were simply spectacular. We also explored the Te Anau Glowworm Caves, which was a unique and memorable experience. In Queenstown, we enjoyed some exciting activities, including jet boating and the Skyline Gondola with the luge ride. It was a perfect combination of adventure and beautiful views. Next day we drove toward Mount Cook, with some wonderful stops along the way, including Lindis Pass and a lavender farm. One of the highlights was hiking the Hooker Valley Track, where the views of the mountains and surrounding landscape were absolutely incredible. I wish we had more time to explore more but we will come back soon to travel with Waimate Journeys and our amazing guide Rago. Highly recommend!

Amazing South Island Tour

We came back from a beautiful trip. From start to finish everything was flawlessly organized. Our guide was nothin short of amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and deeply passionate about the region. He gave so many local insights and thoughtful recommendations. I can genuinely say it was one of the best travel experience of my life. The car was comfortable and spacious with ample leg room and neatly organized. The scenic drive to Milford Sound, where we were treated to jaw-dropping views of towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls and dramatic fjord landscapes. The cruise through the sound was mesmerizing-misty and magical. Highly recommend for anyone with limited time in New Zealand who wants to experience the must-see destinations and activities.

Super knowledgeable and caring guide

We just wrapped up an amazing 3 dat tour of Queenstown, and it was one of the best travel experience we have had as a family. From the jaw dropping views of Mt Cook to the scenic drive through Arthur's Pass and the breathtaking beauty of Milford Sound, every moment felt like new adventure. You can really picture yourself standing there, taking all in- its that incredible. Our guide was fantastic, super knowledgeable and genuinely cared about making our trip memorable. Every recommendation he gave, weather it was a spot for lunch or a hidden gem to check out, was spot on. He knew the area like the back of his hand and made sure we got the most out of every stop. If you are planning a trip to Queenstown, this tour is a must. It's perfect for the one who looking to explore best of what this stunning region has to offer. It's worth the money you spend.
