Meru Slopes Tours provided us with an unforgettable Tanzanian safari from start to finish. Leonard handled all our pre-trip planning and arrival coordination flawlessly, so we felt completely taken care of before we even hit the road. We booked the Tarangire - Serengeti - Ngorongoro route, which offered spectacular landscapes and wildlife viewing. The highlight of our time on the road was definitely our guide, Nickson. He is truly top-notch. His expertise, driving skills, and ability to track animals made the experience feel incredibly special. Great safari trip

We had an incredible experience with Meru Slopes Tours. From the very beginning, Leonard was fantastic to work with. He coordinated all the logistics for us perfectly, both months in advance and on the day we arrived, making the whole process completely stress-free. Our itinerary took us through Tarangire, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater, and every single day was breathtaking. A huge part of why this trip was so amazing was our guide, Nickson. He is an absolute superstar—deeply knowledgeable, sharp at spotting wildlife, and genuinely invested in giving us the best safari possible. I highly recommend booking with this team!

I joined a tour organised by Meru Slopes. The vehicle was spotless, and Jacob, the driver and guide, was very professional. We saw wildebeest crossing the Mara River.

What an incredible experience! It is something I will never forget. A huge thank you to Juma and Dullah for these unforgettable five days. Juma is, without a doubt, the best guide we have ever had—and we have traveled extensively. He is incredibly knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best possible experience. Thanks to him, we enjoyed exclusive wildlife encounters because he took us to places where other safari vehicles simply didn’t go. He knows hidden spots that many other guides don’t, which allowed us to find ourselves completely alone, surrounded by lions—an unforgettable moment. This has been the most incredible trip of my life, and Juma deserves a huge part of the credit. He was always ready to help, made us feel completely at ease, and truly made us feel at home. As for Dullah, he is an absolute culinary genius. Throughout the trip, he prepared fresh, delicious, and varied meals every single day. He adapted every menu to our tastes and preferences, creating dishes tailored just for us. He accompanied us throughout the journey, cooking in every location, and treated us to amazing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Together, Juma and Dullah are the perfect team. Meru Slopes are professional, give great service and are friendly. Highly recommend

You will have a great safari. Meru Slopes picked us up from Kiliminjaro Airport and took us to the Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha. The next day a very embarrassed Kelvin was obliged to tell us that our Holiday Company (Virikson Holidays) had failed to pay. Kelvin spent the day with us taking us to the African Art Museum in Arusha. We managed to persuade Virikson to pay and later that day the funds went through. At the very last minute on the next morning Meru Slopes managed to get the 2 of us off on a 4 day safari into Tarangire, the Serengeti (2 days) and Ngorongoro National Parks. Max was our driver. He was a careful driver, considerate, polite, had a sense of humour and seemed to have an uncanny ability to find wildlife without often being surrounded by other Toyota Land Cruisers. Thanks very much Max. Our accommodation was changed from that booked due to the necessary last minute bookings given Virikson Holidays overdue payment. Nonetheless we were satisfied. On the 5th day Meru Slopes gave us a courtesy cultural tour, a village tour which was enlightening, interesting and worthwhile then a visit to a Maasai village which was a little too touristy for our taste. That evening Kelvin joined us at our hotel to apologise for the disruption to our holiday, not that we held Meru Slopes responsible. He also presented us with gifts. The other drivers; Edson and Joseph (?) were also very pleasant. We would highly recommend Meru Slopes (but advise everyone to never use Virikson Holidays!).
