    4 Day Luxury Inca Trail

We just finished the luxury version of the 4 Day Inca Trail and what an experience it was. Our average age is 50 so we did not think we could compete with younger hikers in a group setting. We also didn’t want to arrive in Machu Picchu exhausted and not enjoy the final destination so despite the expense, we opted for personal attention. We were lucky enough to get Henry as our guide. He assessed our ability on the first day to adjust the pace to suit us and he is also great at organising the campsite and lunch spots whenever we stopped. I slipped on the first day on some gravel and he is also a great first aid officer. I continued on without trouble and Henry checked my wound everyday. He is funny and told us many stories about the trail, MP, the flora and fauna, and about his family. He also takes you on as many side archaeological sites you want to visit. At camp every night we got a shower and a massage to help us recover and the food is very good. Our tent was also full size and even my 6.6 feet husband could stand up in it. We saw some hikers hiking alone when they could not keep up with their group and perhaps we could have made it in a group setting but we would not have enjoyed the experience as much. Thank you Henry, support staff and Uros Expedition for making our dream come true. You definitely appreciate MP a lot more if you hike there versus taking a train.

Places to reflect on how wonderful life is. Learning from the history of South America is impressive.

The agency is secure, your attention is personalized from the moment you arrive until your departure from the country. My flight was delayed and they were on the lookout the whole time. My mom and I had amazing days. Of course, you have to do a lot of walking in the places I visited. Love Peru, until next time. Thank you Uros Expeditions.

Response from the operator: ¡Muchas gracias por compartir su experiencia!

4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,010 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu take?

    +

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu?

    +

Included: PROFESSIONAL AND TRAINED STAFF; PERMITS AND ENTRANCE; ACCOMMODATION; Lunch; and Dinner. Not included: Sleeping Bag; A Pair of Walking Sticks; and Breakfast on Day 1 and lunch and dinner on Day 04. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 2 listed pickup locations in and around Cusco. Be ready about 30 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.

What languages is 4 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu offered in?

    +
