    Great experience

Amazing tour of the coast of south Tenerife including a 45 minute swim in the ocean, unlimited drinks, a hot meal and plenty of sea life! The boat is a nice size fitting 200+ people on comfortably with the choice of top deck exposed to the sun or bottom deck with plenty of windows and a shop. There is also an observation deck under the water but we did not go under there. The staff were amazing keeping us updated and informed with everything going on around us. Explaining the history of the sites we were passing and telling us where to look for wildlife. Everything was explained over speakers in Spanish, English, French and German. There is unlimited drinks dispensers with the common soft drinks including water. They also had a local beer on tap. The staff bought around free apples for everyone and you also got a banana with your hot meal. The hot meal wasn’t amazing but it was decent enough to eat consisting of rice, vegetables, bread and meatballs in sauce. They knew exactly where to go to see the local wildlife as we saw plenty of pilot whales and dolphins. There were also loads of flying fish jumping in and out of the sea. I highly recommend this experience as it is great value for money and an amazing experience that will always be remembered

Extreme sea sickness on Royal delfin

For me personally it was a very bad experience- I have done Catamaran tours before in. Greece etc but sea sickness was extreme ! Leading to extreme nausea and vomiting - food was very average too - 4 hrs of torture for me ! Similar experience has been noted by other reviewers too previously specifically wrt Royal delfin ! Staff and guide were very nice and friendly but sea sickness was extreme This should be highlighted by the organising team

    Partially good experience

In general the tour is a great experience. This was our second one with couple of years between them. This time the experience was spoiled by the fact it was overcrowded and was literally impossible to observe whales and dolphins, as people occupied front line, thus nobody else could've see anything.

    Amazing!!

We went on the four and a half hour boat trip which includes a meal and drinks. When we got to where the dolphins were, the boat stopped for us to take photos and videos it was amazing to see the beautiful creatures up close in their natural habitat! The boat stops in a bay where you can get off the back of the boat for a swim. The photographer videoed people on the boat and the dolphins and whales, we bought the 80 minute long video off him which cost 20 euros by email, or you can pay a bit more and have it on a CD or USB stick. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Royal Delphin and was worth every penny! Would highly recommend it!

    cancellation at excursion date

My husband was sick and he could not go on this trip. I asked the lady that checked our reservation if I can get any fund return for his ticket already paid (not full refund). She promised to write to the agency about this, but I did not receive any answer. Thank you Angelica Ciobota

4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4'5-hour Royal Dolphin and Whale Watching Excursion in Tenerife start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
