    Nice travel with Nicetravel

We have joined the 5-day Ice&Fire Tour that was amazing! Perfect arrangemnt on the tours for all the scenic spots, accomodations are all good and comfortable. The guides (Davíð, David and Lori) who we met for this 5 days are superb. They are very nice and knowledgable about Iceland. :-)

    Absolutely stunning...

Absolutely stunning scenery! Our guide Jonas was wonderful, very knowledgeable and added fun into the trip. Very bio-diverse landscapes that changed multiple times a day. Lots of driving but worth it to see the entire island except for the West Fjords.

    Amazing Scenery/ Sub par Guide

Geography of Iceland and major stops hit all important things we wish to see. It’s an amazing country. Van was new and clean. Concerns: -We had no emergency contact number or info while out on the entire tour. You should provide one for this price. - Guide did not impress me one bit. He should start each day with a brief review if the itinerary and general time table. We had to ask every question he never used his microphone nor offered any additional information unless the travelers asked questions. - Hotels varied widely in quality. - Days were often too long. Each day had stops that were a waste of valuable time.

Excellent tour, but issues with booking through Tripadvisor

The tour itself was very good, and we really enjoyed it. However, there were some significant issues with booking through Tripadvisor. The itinerary shown on Tripadvisor was quite inaccurate. Most notably, the first day included about three hours for a glacier walk, but in reality, there was no glacier walk at all. It appears that the website has since been corrected. We were also unable to select any optional activities in advance through Tripadvisor. In contrast, participants who had booked directly with the tour operator seemed to have received a more detailed itinerary and were able to choose their optional activities beforehand. For this reason, if you are considering this tour, I would recommend booking directly with the tour operator rather than through Tripadvisor. In addition, we joined the five-day tour, but the length of the tour varied among participants, from four to seven days. As a result, the group was reorganized partway through the trip. We had not been informed of this in advance, so we were quite surprised when, after four days, Hinrik told us that it was his last day with us and that a different guide would pick us up from the hotel the following morning. We never received the detailed itinerary ourselves, so I do not know whether this arrangement was explained in the itinerary provided to those who booked directly with the tour operator. As for the tour itself, the first day was very long and quite busy, so it might have been better to have a little more time and a slightly more relaxed schedule. Our guide, Hinrik, was excellent—great fun, knowledgeable, and a wonderful guide overall. Despite the booking issues, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour itself.

4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik cost?

    +

Prices start at $1399 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable nightlife in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik?

    +

Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4, 5, 6 or 7-Day Small-Group Ring Road Tour from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
