I didn't hate it, but I felt like we overpaid for a boat ride. The commentary suggested that it was almost predictable that the conditions were not good for seeing whales ( water was too warm, too blue, most whales still in Monterey) but that wasn't volunteered in advance. I felt like revenue might have been prioritized over customer satisfaction. You can't control the creatures but you can be transparent. Again, we liked Kyle and liked being on the water but didn't like the price and the hints that it was predictable.

While marine life is unpredictable, we had been seeing humpbacks, fin whales, and even Orcas on a majority of our recent trips, which is why our team was genuinely optimistic heading out. Our vessel design is intentional for those who love an adventurous, up-close feel, though we know the high-energy ride isn't for everyone. While we can never guarantee sightings on any given departure, our crew always gives their absolute best effort to locate marine life. Awesome!
Small intimate tours are the best way to go for wildlife. We ran into a superpod of dolphins of at least 2000+ it was magical. I hope my videos show up. You have a lot better chance of seeing things, you have a lot better chance for taking pictures. Because there's less people or running around a big boat. It's a much more personal experience. I would never go back to the large boat tours. Jason was very knowledgeable.

Captain Jason is great!
My husband and I had so much fun with Adventure Whale Watching! Captain Jason was super knowledgeable and helped us spot some cool wildlife. We actually got surrounded by a mega pod of dolphins. It was magical! We even made a sea lion friend along the way. The boat is the perfect size and only takes out 6 passengers. It basically feels like a private charter! We will definitely be back. Maybe next time we will be lucky enough to see a blue whale.

You can’t go wrong!
Well, we didn’t see a whale or a dolphin but the boat ride was 🔥🔥🔥! Captain Rick is awesome. He’s very knowledgeable and easy to listen to. We did see loads of flying fish (I didn’t know that was a real thing until today), a big ol’ Devil Ray (Manta Ray family) leapt out of the water, a HUGE Ocean Sunfish, and the cutest sea lions. I would 1000% go again even if I knew I wouldn’t see any whales or dolphins! Thanks, Cap’n Rick! We had a swell time with ya!!!

Good trip even without whales
We didn't see any whales but not for lack of trying. The captain was very nice, he kept us informed of where we were. The ocean was a bit rough at times, so he kept checking on us to make sure we were alright or if we wanted to head back. Shot up to the other passengers that didn't get upset and wanted to continue looking for whales. I would go again. Great experience.
