Amazing Night on the Snowmobiles with PolarMax

We had an awesome time on the 3 hour evening snowmobile tour with PolarMax Adventures! Marko was the best guide, super chill, really knowledgeable, and made sure we were always comfortable and safe. He led the tour with so much energy and passion, and you could tell he really cares about making sure everyone has a great time. His wife was super friendly and helpful too, which made everything even better. The views were amazing, and snowmobiling was so much fun! Definitely recommend this to anyone. Huge thanks to Marko and his wife for such a great time!

Fantastic family snowmobile experience with a wonderful guide

We did a 3-hour snowmobile tour with the family this week and had a great experience. We went with 2 young kids (4 and 7) who enjoyed the cosy sledge being pulled by Tomas, and Paula made sure they were warm. it was -14 the day we were there. The kids loved it and stayed warm. The youngest even had a big nap. Tomas adapted the tour to our level, which was great, and we loved our stop at the teepee with a warm fire. We had a good chat with Tomas. Lovely guide and a great trip. We highly recommend it. No northern lights for us on the day, as it was cloudy and snowing a bit, but still a great experience.

    BEST experience in Lapland

It has been an amazing and unforgettable experience that I recommend everyone to go! They also have the best prices compared to the other companies I did the search, as it offers a great driving time, as well as a hot and original meal in a beautiful tent. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. Master Tomas is a very friendly boy and Paula took care of us very well on our arrival.

    Northern Lights and wilderness

Fantastic hospitality and Marko is a great guide out in the dark wilderness of Lapland. He found the best spots for watching the Northern Lights, fired up a nice barnfire in a Sami tipi where we could prepare some delicious sausages.

    Great trip with young kids

A fantastic trip on snowmobiles with the family. No northern lights for us as it was snowing heavily but that’s didn’t stop the fun. If anything the snow made it more enjoyable. Went with 2 young kids (4 and 6) who enjoyed the cosy sled being pulled by our expert guide Tomas. The kids loved it and even had a nap after a while. This isn’t an adrenaline trip but a fantastic way to see Lapland. The private forest that you initially start in is incredible. The highlight of the trip though was stopping at the camp site and cosying up with a warm fire, grilling our owns sausages and having lovely conversations around the bonfire. Great trip, great people and highly recommended.

3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights cost?

    +

Prices start at $236 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 hour Evening Snowmobile Safari with Campfire & Northern Lights start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
