Exceptional Five-Star Uyuni Experience
Thank you very much for this truly exceptional experience. From beginning to end, everything was organized to the highest standard and exceeded all expectations. Without doubt, this is the number one company for anyone looking to explore Uyuni and the Altiplano in comfort, safety, and with complete peace of mind. The professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care shown throughout the journey were outstanding. The vehicle was extremely comfortable and well maintained, the guide was knowledgeable, professional, and always attentive, and every aspect of the itinerary ran smoothly and seamlessly. The accommodations were excellent, especially the unique salt hotel experience and the carefully selected desert lodges, which added so much character and comfort to the trip. What made this journey particularly special was the balance between adventure, comfort, and flexibility. I never felt rushed and always had enough time to fully appreciate the breathtaking scenery, take photographs, and enjoy every moment. The Uyuni Salt Flats, lagoons, deserts, geysers, and sunset experience were simply unforgettable. The private lunch in the middle of the Salar and the sunset drinks setup were magical touches that transformed the trip into a truly premium and memorable experience. What impressed me even more was the incredible support provided beyond the tour itself. During a very difficult period of roadblocks and travel disruption, the organizer truly went the extra mile to help me reach La Paz by arranging alternative travel plans and organizing an air ticket at short notice. Thanks to their dedication and genuine care, my onward international travel plans were not disrupted. This level of commitment and customer care is extremely rare and deeply appreciated. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a first-class, professionally operated, and unforgettable Uyuni experience. Thank you once again for creating such wonderful memories and for your outstanding support throughout the journey. Prof Mohamed Abuzakouk MD, PhD

We also greatly appreciate your recognition of the support provided during the difficult period of roadblocks and travel disruptions. In situations like these, we always do our very best to assist our travelers beyond the tour itself, and we are truly glad we could help ensure your onward journey continued smoothly. Thank you once again for allowing us to be part of your visit to Bolivia and for recommending our company so generously. It was an honor to host you. A memorable 3-days Uyuni Salt Flats tour with Joker Expedition
The 3-days private Uyuni salt flats tour with Joker Expedition was beyond our expectations! The organization was impeccable especially the lunch and sunset cocktail/snack on the salt flats the first day. They were in stunning sceneries and the settings were amazing! The lunch on the second day was also in an amazing setting overlooking the flamingos in Laguna Hedionda. Joker Expedition prepared all the foods which were so delicious, well presented and with diverse menus. Our tour guide Lillian and driver Sam are all professional, friendly and helpful. Lillian is such a good photographer and videographer, she took lots of great photos and videos for us, which was such a surprising perk :-) Lillian has a cheerful disposition and made the trip pleasant with sometime long drives. Sam is a great driver and we felt safe in the 4WD with his care. Bolivia is a beautiful country and we have seen many very unique and breathtaking landscapes on this trip. I highly recommend Joker Expedition for the 3-day Uyuni Salt Flats tour which was an unforgettable experience and memory for us!!!

very expensive for low standard
First Viator is only the company gets the money for dealing the trip. That was not clarified before. I booked the best standard and neither the accomodations nor the food nor the Jeep nor the guide were more than the low standard. It was okay, we had as group a good time but it was to expensive comparing it to other guided tours. So I would never again going to Viator booking something.

Same as all other tours, not premium in any way
We did the 3-day Uyuni tour and overall the experience was nice, but we definitely expected something more premium based on the reviews and photos shared by other travellers. The tour operator showed pictures of better accommodation and a more comfortable setup — but in reality, we were grouped together with travellers from multiple other tour companies and placed in very basic accommodation that looked nothing like what was advertised. It became pretty clear that there’s no real difference between the tour companies. They simply combine everyone into the same jeeps and the same hostels once you arrive. If you’re considering it, I honestly recommend booking on arrival and directly asking for a private room — that’s the best option you’ll get, and it’s much cheaper than booking online in advance. We left feeling a bit scammed by the mismatch between what was promised and what we actually received. Also, if you’ve already been to Peru and visited places like the Altiplano, the 3-day itinerary might feel repetitive. The lagoons and desert parts involve many hours of driving, and the accommodation (often without electricity) didn’t make it worthwhile for us. In that case, I’d recommend doing just the 1-day salt flats tour, which is the real highlight and absolutely stunning. The landscape is incredible, but manage your expectations — this is a very basic tour, regardless of which operator you book with.

Great trip Loved Salt Flats helped with altitude issues.
We had a great guide Oscar, who helped us navigate the Bolivian border and then showed us the many lagoons in the Bolivian desert. We learned more about flamingos then ever before Accommodation the 1st night was difficult because of the altitude and temperature was extremely cold.oscar did a great job getting us oxygenfor the person who really needed. The highlight was the day in the Salt Flats. We liked the desert part but due to altitude issues didn't appreciate it as much as our day on the Salt Flats. We had a great picnic...good food in the middle of the flats. Our second night out the Accommodation was beautiful . Joker Expedition helped us get bus tickets to La Paz and also arranged for us to have extra oxygen on our bus

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Uyuni.
How much does 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation cost?
+
Prices start at $491 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Uyuni usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Uyuni is not rushed.
Is 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Uyuni, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Uyuni can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Uyuni and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Days Uyuni Salt Flats with English Guide, private accommodation start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Uyuni within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Uyuni?
+
On Outty we rank every Uyuni experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3-Days Tour to the Uyuni Salt Flat and Colored Lagoons +Sunset+Mirror Effect, Uyuni Salt Flat 1 Day Tour +Sunset in the Salt Water Region with Mirror Effect, 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Uyuni?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Uyuni?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
