An incredible journey in Cambodia

Just back from six days/5 nights in Cambodia on a private tour through Journey Cambodia that was absolutely spectacular. My friend and I were in Phnom Penh for a day and a half and then in Siem Reap for the rest. The travel and hotel booking was seamless. Both hotels were in excellent locations in the heart of the tourist areas surrounded by good food and cute shops. The hotels were beautiful and included lavish breakfasts, a/c, pools, and wifi. We had spa treatments at the hotel in Phnom Penh for extremely affordable rates. The highlights of the troops were the people. Our guides were extraordinarily knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. It was clear that they had a deep passion for sharing their information with us and they answered all our questions about the sites and country and then some. The guides spoke excellent English--communication was flawless. They also had great suggestions for area restaurants, activities, and shopping. Our drivers were very accommodating and provided us with airport to hotel to sites transportation. When we wanted to add to or vary the itinerary, the staff made it happen. The time visiting temples in Siem Reap was perfectly curated to show us the special qualities and unique aspects of each of these magnificent structures. Our guide and driver in Siem Reap, Bun and Sam Baht, were THE BEST!!!!!! I highly recommend asking for them--they will ensure you have an amazing experience. A special bonus was the ice-cold face cloths provided by Sam Baht each time we got back in the van--immediately refreshing after being out in the sun. I'm so thankful to all the staff who made our Cambodian journey the trip of a lifetime.

Response from the operator: Dear Ashley, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that your 6-day journey through Phnom Penh and Siem Reap was the trip of a lifetime. It is fantastic to know that you enjoyed the hotels, spa treatments, and the seamless travel arrangements. We will be sure to pass along your special shout-out to Bun and Sam Baht—they will be absolutely delighted to hear how much you appreciated their passion, English communication, and, of course, those ice-cold face cloths after exploring the temples. We hope to welcome you back to Cambodia again in the future! Warmest Regards, Phalla Chhou (Mr.Paul) Operations Assistant Tel & WhatsApp:+85512334657 E-mail:info@journeycambodia.com

Journey Cambodia - excellent tour operator

I’m very happy to recommend this tour operator and especially the services of Bun and Sam who provided us with a very caring, informative and fun 3 day adventure. Having only a short period in Siam Reap, this trip gave us a brilliant insight in to Cambodia which the children (8 & 10) and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. Cambodia’s difficult history is still very present but we loved every aspect of the tour - the bikes, markets, farms, temples, restaurant choices, boat, crocodiles! The 440am start was worth it to see the Angkor wat sunrise and although we were sceptical about visiting Apopo’s rats - it was very interesting and inspiring to hear how Cambodia is slowly getting rid of the land mines that have blighted to country since the Vietnam and civil wars. Bun kept a close eye on us whilst giving us space too, which was spot on. Genuinely recommend.

Response from the operator: Dear Jack, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you, your husband, and your children had such a memorable 3-day adventure with us. Bun and Sam will be over the moon to read your kind words. They take immense pride in balancing fun, safety, and deep local insight—especially for families traveling with young kids. From the early morning sunrise at Angkor Wat to the bicycle rides, local markets, and learning about APOPO’s hero rats, we are delighted that every part of the journey resonated with you. Thank you for visiting Siem Reap and for recommending our services. We wish you and your family many more amazing travels ahead. 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group cost?

+

Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 80 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group?

+

Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Days Siem Reap Explorer - Small Group start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
