Adventure
We had an absolutely fantastic experience in the Amazon with Green Amazon Tours. Alex, the owner, organised everything extremely well, and the whole team went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable adventure while always keeping us safe and well looked after. Edwin was an exceptional guide. He was constantly alert and vigilant, always scanning for wildlife, and was an incredible spotter. Thanks to his knowledge, patience and determination, we were lucky enough to see three jaguars, a puma, a harpy eagle, giant otters, a sloth, many monkeys and countless birds. He took care of every detail, handled all the logistics smoothly and consistently went beyond what was expected to give us the best possible experience. Yasmin’s cooking was outstanding throughout the trip. We were amazed by the variety and quality of the meals she produced, especially while cooking on board the boat. The two captains were also excellent and contributed greatly to the wildlife spotting and the overall smooth running of the journey. All of the lodges were very good, particularly the one deeper in the jungle, and Dorado Lodge was a wonderful place to finish the trip. This was a truly unforgettable Amazon experience, and we would highly recommend Green Amazon Tours. Our sincere thanks and commendations to Alex, Edwin, Yasmin, the captains and the entire team.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share such a detailed experience. We are very happy to know that you enjoyed the wildlife, the lodges, the meals, and the care from our whole team. I will also be happy to share your kind words with Edwin, Yasmin, and the rest of the crew. Thank you again for choosing Green Amazon Tours Peru. We hope you keep great memories of your adventure in Manu! Warm regards, Alex Green Amazon Tours Peru

Life-changing wildlife experience in Manu National Park
We went on a 6D/5N tour to Manu reserved zone with Alex. This was an awesome experience and we would 100% go with Green Amazon tours again and recommend them to others. It was very wildlife focused which was exactly what we wanted. If considering a trip to the Peruvian Amazon and are a wildlife enthusiast you must book a trip that goes into the RESERVED zone rather than just cultural zone. Although expensive, Green Amazon charges a rate comparable to other operators that go into the reserved zone and we thought it was good value for a once in a lifetime experience. Alex is incredibly knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna having grown up locally in the jungle. He has a knack for spotting and listening for animals, and was kind enough to help us get great photos using our phones with his high resolution telescope. He is friendly, respectful of others including wildlife, professional and speaks excellent English. He went out of his way to make sure we got the most out of the tour, including answering our many questions. We were lucky enough to see many giant otters, black caiman, cabybara, macaws, toucan, >30 other species of birds, many species of monkeys. We were not lucky enough to see jaguar, sloth or tapir. Heavy rain on our first night in the jungle and high river levels likely affected this (going during dry season would optimise your chances accordingly to Alex). Alex however did his very best to try optimise our chances including modifying / personalising parts of the tour for this. I understand many of his clients do see these animals with his expert knowledge and spotting ability. 6D/5N was a good amount of days to ensure we weren’t rushing into the reserve, and that we had adequate time while there. The long drive and boat trips did not seem arduous due to frequent stops for wildlife spotting and walks. It is a small locally owned company which is part of the reason we chose Green Amazon. There was just 2 of us on our tour, but the groups are limited to 6 maximum to ensure a more personal experience. We felt very safe and cared for during the trip. Accommodation was good (basic as one might expect in the jungle!) with mosquito nets and clean toilet facilities, and the food was great during the tour. We did not go hungry! Thanks so much Alex and Green Amazon Tours!

Amazing, once in a lifetime experience!
We did the 3-day / 2-night Manú national park tour with Green Amazon Tours Peru. It was an amazing experience and I would suggest everyone to do this trip if they have time to spare in Cusco. Our tour guide was Alex and he was the reason that the tour was so great. Clear communication from the beginning, forthcoming and helpful. After being picked up from the hotel, we started our journey to the jungle. Along the way we stopped multiple times for animal watching and Alex's incredible ability at spotting animals made this trip unforgettable. We saw so many amazing animals throughout this trip hidden in the trees and bushes of the jungle. With the help of Alex's telescope we saw the animals up close and could take amazing pictures with our smartphones. You have the real jungle experience sleeping in lodges close to nature, which is an experience I never had before (you have running water and WiFi!). The boat trip was our highlight and the hike through the jungle was perfect. Alex was very knowledgeable and was eager to share his knowledge with us. Also the night and morning hikes were super cool and allowed us to see night active animals. Moreover, you can enjoy local, typical and tasty food throughout the trip. We felt really taken care of and will recommend this trip to anyone of our friends!

An AMAZING experience! 100% would recommend when visiting Peru!
What an amazing experience and a complete must if you are visiting Peru! We went for the 2 nights 3 days tour. As we were the only 2 out of 6 people doing this tour we did the first day and next morning with the full group with tour guides Alex and Raul. We also had a chef Javier who made amazing food for us all! It was the best food we’d had through our whole trip. They made sure we had all the essentials to be comfortable and safe including raincoats, water, wellies etc! The driver was great with the rough terrain and took us everywhere we needed to go. A major highlight in the second morning was having breakfast riverside after taking an exciting boat ride where we saw a family of Capybaras! We seperated from the group after the 2nd day breakfast and went with Raul who is an AMAZING guide. His knowledge and skill at finding spots to see exotic birds, monkeys, bats made our experience truly unforgettable. Raul was kind, funny and full of knowledge and by the end of the tour he felt like a true friend as well as an amazing guide. We stayed in 2 lodges, in particular the second Guadalupe lodge was great, sleeping with the full noise of the jungle is something we’ll always remember happily! The second chef Americo was also amazing and our breakfast of pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit was delicious. We couldn’t of asked for a better experience, Alex is incredibly knowledgable and a great organiser making sure we saw everything worth seeing and kept us happy the entire time. Special thanks to Raul for his hard work in making our special memories of the jungle, he truly went out of his way and didn’t hesitate to stop at any time he thought there may be a chance we could see amazing wildlife. We would recommend this company 100%, they felt truly like a family orientated company and we loved that aspect. Thank you Green Amazon Tours Peru!

Great Trip, Lots of Wildlife!
We booked a 3D/2N tour. We had a great trip and saw lots of animals! Alex was great and able to tell and explain a lot about life and animals in the jungle! Accommodations were basic but clean and you could enjoy the jungle noises while falling asleep. Food was great, they took great care of our dietary request (vegan). The driver took us everywhere we needed to go, he knew all the roads and got us to our destinations with the greatest care.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru cost?
+
Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Days Amazon Jungle Tour in Manu Peru start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
