Tour Scam! sold as English speaking tour but was Mandarin !
The tour was not what I expected at all. It was completely in Mandarin.. It is unacceptable to sell this as an English spoken tour. The guide did not communicate that we thought we got lost at one point. It is fraudulent to sell a tour as a English tour, which we confirmed many times before the tour.. We had to sit in the backseat next to loose pile of luggage at left window. This was hazardous in our opinion and it was not planned properly to store luggage for all passengers. We will request a refund as we did not get what was promised.
Response from the operator: Our sincere apologies for not providing the perfect tour. We are an international travel company dedicated to providing quality services to visitors from all over the world. We guarantee English communication throughout the tour. We work with a diverse team of experienced guides—some of whom are multilingual, including combinations such as Chinese-English, Spanish-English, Korean-English, Vietnamese-English, and Cantonese-Chinese-English. However, regardless of the guide’s language background, English service is always provided to ensure accessibility for international travelers. On the date of this particular tour, the majority of the participants happened to be Chinese-speaking, so our guide (who is bilingual) supplemented the standard English narration with Chinese translation to help those guests better understand the information. However, the guide did speak English consistently throughout the tour as required. On the tour, due to the fact that some guests brought more luggage than the limit we had set, in order to ensure the rational use of the vehicle space and the safety of all passengers, the tour guide placed some of the luggage uniformly at the last row of the vehicle and fixed it well. We look forward to providing you with a more satisfying travel experience in the future.

Perfect 3-Day Adventure with Jason!
Perfect 3-Day Adventure with Jason! Just got back, and I can't recommend this tour enough! The route took us through so many stunning spots in the redwoods, Crater Lake, and beyond — and somehow we managed to see it all without ever feeling rushed. My favorite moment was when Jason made an impromptu stop at a beach off Highway 101 — totally unexpected and absolutely beautiful. The whole itinerary was super well planned, with just the right amount of time at each place to really take it all in. Huge shoutout to Jason, our tour leader, who made the entire trip even better. He drove like a pro (smooth and safe all the way), kept everything on track, and brought such a relaxed, fun energy to the group. He was also super thoughtful — making sure the car was cool before we got in, snapping great photos for everyone, and genuinely looking out for each person. His vibe made the whole experience feel effortless and fun from beginning to end. If you're thinking about exploring this part of the country, go for it — and definitely go with Jason if you can!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your feedback! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the service we've provided! We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit!

Traveled one day in snow...
Traveled one day in snow and rain, turned around and returned to San Francisco the same day. The bad weather was well televised and we still left SF.
Response from the operator: We regret that we have to cancel your trip due to the snowstorm that has closed the highway. This is a weather factor that we cannot predict or control and we have arranged an immediate full refund to your account. Thank you for your understanding and support of this event, and we look forward to welcoming you to join us again in the future to experience our quality and thoughtful service!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oakland.
How much does 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco cost?
+
Prices start at $804 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oakland usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oakland is not rushed.
Is 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Oakland, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oakland can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oakland and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Day Tour to Oregon Redwood Crater Lake from San Francisco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oakland within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oakland?
+
Oakland covers bay sailing and kayak trips on the estuary, Lake Merritt walks, food tours through Temescal and Fruitvale, and easy access to Berkeley and wine country. On Outty we rank every Oakland experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yosemite National Park & Sequoias Private Tour from San Francisco, 6 Hour Private Customized Wine Tour up to 7 Guests Napa & Sonoma, 8 Hour Private Customized Wine Tour up to 7 Guests Napa & Sonoma. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oakland?
+
May to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oakland?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
