    Pleasantly surprised

Pleasant surprises await in Livermore wine country. Trolly was fun, had water and was next to a delicious bakery you can eat and use bathroom before you head out. Recommend it.

Response from the operator: Pleasant surprises are what we aim for! We're so happy you had a great ride through Livermore. Grabbing a delicious treat at the bakery before hopping on board really is the ultimate pre-tour move. Thanks for spreading the word, and we can’t wait to ride with you again!

    Best mothers day experience

We did the Livermore Wine Trolley on the Painted with Love: A Mother's Day Wine Trolley Experience today. It was amazing and we had so much fun! It was totally worth the money. My mom kept saying it was the most fun she’s ever had on Mother’s Day. The food was great, the wine, and the painting glasses was a fun and unique experience. We went with the whole family, so mom and dad brother and I. The guys really enjoyed it as well.

Response from the operator: Hi Julie, we are thrilled to hear you and your family had a wonderful time with us on our Mother’s Day event! Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We hope to see you on the Wine Trolley another time soon! Cheers!

    Holiday lights

I enjoyed the experience overall. I felt the wine hosts during the wine tasting were not clear about the wine you can bring on the trolley. They should have disclosed prices prior to making the pitch. They gave attitude when I decided not to purchase the 50.00 bottle of wine. Also, some guests were rowdy on the bus. Loud and obnoxious. Clearly, they must have drank too much or have not been out much. But, the light tour was fun and enjoyed seeing the decorated homes.

    Company holiday wine fun!

Our driver Chris was amazing! Trolly was clean and they had plenty of water for us. The lunch was amazing! Simple sandwiches but exceptional ingredients and homemade bread.

4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Jose.

How much does 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Jose usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Jose is not rushed.

Is 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in San Jose, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Jose can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Jose and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4 Hour Livermore Valley Wine Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Jose within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in San Jose?

    +

San Jose mixes tech-history tours with the Winchester Mystery House, Santa Cruz Mountains wine trips, redwood hikes and easy day tours over to Monterey and San Francisco. On Outty we rank every San Jose experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Escape Game at Great Mall in Milpitas, Big Sur Monterey California Coast from San Jose 1 - 12 people, Yosemite National Park and Giant Sequoias Tour from San Jose. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit San Jose?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in San Jose?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
