    Hobart Covered in Three Days

A well-thought-through three-day itinerary that brings something new each day. The fully guided format means everything is taken care of, no queuing for tickets, and the Port Arthur cruise is included, which is a nice touch. One of the unexpected perks is that the group changes from day to day, so you end up meeting more people than on a standard group tour. The guides also rotate, and each one brings genuine enthusiasm and knowledge for their area. Booking everything as a package is also far more convenient than arranging each day individually. Personal highlights: Salamanca Market, Mt Wellington, and Bruny Island. A great way to see Hobart’s best in three days.

Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed the mix of tours and guides across the three days, and that the itinerary made exploring Tassie easy and enjoyable. Hope to welcome you back again.

A flawless experience from start to finish!

On April 10, we joined the Port Arthur, Tasman Sights, and Harbour Cruise tour with Tassie Tours Tasmania, and it was easily one of the finest guided experiences I’ve had in decades of traveling around the world. Our guide, Rob, was exceptional in every sense of the word. His depth of knowledge, his calm professionalism, his timing, his humor, and his ability to read the group were all world class. He delivered history with clarity, stories with heart, and logistics with absolute precision. Every one of the 13 guests on our tour voiced the same sentiment: Rob is simply one of the best guides we’ve ever had. Tassie Tours itself deserves equal praise for seamless communication, thoughtful pacing, comfortable transport, and a well designed itinerary that showcases the very best of Tasmania’s heritage and natural beauty. If you’re visiting Hobart and want a tour operator that combines professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion for Tasmania, Tassie Tours and Rob are as good as it gets.

Response from the operator: Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We’re so pleased you enjoyed the tour and that Rob made such a strong impression with his knowledge and professionalism. It means a lot to hear our itinerary and service helped make your time in Tassie memorable. Hope to welcome you back again someday.

3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hobart.

How much does 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island cost?

    +

Prices start at $345 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hobart usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hobart is not rushed.

Is 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hobart, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hobart can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hobart and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 day Tasmanian highlights tour – Hobart, Port Arthur and Bruny Island start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hobart within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hobart?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hobart experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus- Return Tour (2.5 hours), Full-Day Guided Bruny Island Tour from Hobart, All Inclusive Bruny Island Day Tour Plus Guided Lighthouse Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hobart?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hobart?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
