An excellent way to see the natural wonder!!

Your started from Hobart and covered the best natural beauties of Tasmania..It was a 5 days tour .. Excellent itinerary. Our coach driver cum guide Mr. Anthony was extremely cooperative and excellent guide. However, We were not happy with the coach.. It was very cramped up.. having less space and NO OVERHEAD RACK to keep your haversacks, overcoats etc.. The hotels / motels provided by them were all very good and very comfortable. Was really happy with the accomodation. Overall it was an amazing experience. They know their job. Worth taking up this tour. I highly recommend it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review and for positive feedback regarding the guide, itinerary, accommodation and overall recommendation. We value your feedback on the transport. We typically use Fuso Rosas (24 seats) or Toyota Coasters (21 seats) on these tours. These are very common touring vehicles across Australia. We're sorry that it did not have the storage you would have liked but it is good to highlight that it is essential the only small bags can travel inside the bus such as a day pack, with the remainder to go in the luggage trailer. Again, sorry for the inconvenience. We do make numerous stops on travel days so that guests can stretch legs, get refreshments, use bathroom facilities, etc, to ensure that the travel is as comfortable as possible overall. Thank you for choosing Under Down Under. All the best.

A Great Way to See Tasmania

A thoroughly organised round trip covering the best of Tasmania, from the rainforests of the west to the beaches of the east. The itinerary is well-balanced, with hiking activities that can be tailored to your fitness level and a strong focus on nature and wildlife throughout. The guide was highly knowledgeable, and the fully-guided group format made for a fun social experience, mostly travellers in their 20s and early 30s. Optional extras like the Strahan river cruise and “The Ship That Never Was” theatre play are well worth doing. The play in particular is outrageously funny and interactive. Accommodation was clean and tidy, and the logistics were seamless from start to finish. Personal highlights: Bay of Fires, Freycinet National Park, and spotting a wombat at Cradle Mountain. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature, wildlife, and great company.

Response from the operator: Brilliant! Thank you so much, Melanie. We're pleased that you loved our tour including the guide, itinerary and your fellow companions too. All the best!

Trails, Tales & a Truly Terrific Tassie Tour

10/10 Recommend this Trip! You would have seen a glimpse of how wonderful Tassie is. The landscape is nothing like any other Australian state has to offer. And you will surely want to revisit! Under Down Under have done a fantastic job in creating the itinerary but huge kudos to our tour lead Hayden for executing it all. Hayden was patient, the best storyteller, super considerate, fun and a passionate local Tassie guide. The concoction of all this made him an absolute LEGEND of a tour guide and I feel grateful to have for the 5 days trip. I was traveling with my Mum (mid 50s), and we had a lovely couple in their 70s walking the hikes so its manageable. All three Motels were superb in aspects of cleanliness and amenities (microwave, kettle, toaster, mini fridge, tv and Wi-Fi of course). We were 20 odd people in the group, and we were a mini family by the end, everyone was accommodating and great to talk to. Hayden ensures frequent stops are made for grabbing a bite or grocery store stop and leg stretching. We were lucky with the weather but ensure you are prepared for all seasons but also pack light if you have booked through JETSTAR and have skipped buying baggage allowance. The platform Get your guide is efficient and no fluff, yes if they could connect me to the tour guide’s contact number before picking up experience could be better. Overall, everything was GREAT and you should BOOK the trip 😊

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for sharing your experience with us! 😊 We’re thrilled to hear that you and your Mum enjoyed your 5-day Tasmanian adventure and that the itinerary, accommodation and group experience all lived up to expectations. It’s especially lovely to hear that the group became a “mini family” along the way! We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Hayden. His local knowledge, storytelling, patience and genuine passion for Tasmania are exactly what we hope our guides bring to every tour, so it’s fantastic to hear how much of a difference he made to your experience. We’re also pleased to hear that the walking felt manageable for everyone in the group. Tasmania’s weather can certainly keep you guessing, so your advice about being prepared for all seasons is spot on! Thanks again for choosing Under Down Under and for recommending us. We hope you get the chance to return to Tasmania and discover even more of our beautiful island. 🌿

5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hobart.

How much does 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart cost?

    +

Prices start at $847 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hobart usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hobart is not rushed.

Is 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 207 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Hobart, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart?

    +

Around 72 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hobart can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hobart and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5-Day Best of Tasmania Tour from Hobart start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hobart within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hobart?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hobart experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus- Return Tour (2.5 hours), Full-Day Guided Bruny Island Tour from Hobart, Maria Island Cruise and Guided Walk Day Tour with Lunch and Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hobart?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hobart?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
