    In roots mode!!

Probably a tour operator, because our pickup was handled by one of the many local providers. In any case, most seem to go to the same places, and it is a long caravan of 4x4s that heads into the salt flat along the track and its rocks. To such an extent that if your car is late, you might see the "merchants" packing up their products until the next pass. We were supposed to have a guide speaking exclusively Spanish, but since the majority of the participants spoke English, the entire tour was conducted in that language. Furthermore, the guide spoke with coca leaves in his mouth; our level of English being far from excellent, we often asked the other participants what the instructions were. Due to bad weather, we did not visit the island or the geysers. The trip to the hotel on the first night seemed endless, and the hotel on the second night is very rustic (no heating or hot shower, 4 blankets plus a sleeping bag, up at 4 a.m. to head back to San Pedro). As you will have understood, there is no comfort, but the magnificent landscapes are worth it. And they are well worth it! Plan for an adjustment period to the altitude because you will be tossed around in a 4x4 on tracks between 3600 m and 4700 m. Crossing the border is done without any problems, provided you have internet access to fill out the immigration forms.

Response from the operator: Muchas gracias por compartir una reseña tan detallada.

    Recommendation given!

Our English-speaking guide and driver took care of it. The food they served was good. They were on time and professional. There was no problem, but we had a very good experience with this tour, having the chance to see the most beautiful earth shapes we have ever seen.

Response from the operator: Güzel yorumunuz için çok teşekkür ederiz!
