About this experience
The beautiful Uyuni salt flats are the world’s largest salt flat. It is located in the Department of Potosi in Southwest Bolivia at 3.650 meters above sea level. Some 40.000 years ago, the area was part of Lake Minchin, a giant prehistoric lake. When the lake dried up, it left behind two modern lakes and two major salt deserts: Salar de Coipasa and the larger Salar de Uyuni. The Uyuni Salt Flats are roughly 25 times the size of Bonneville Salt Flats in the United States! La Isla del Pescado (Fish Island), which is located on the salt flat, is full of giant cactuses and named this way as the ´island´ has the shape of a fish. It is the only sign of life for miles. Marvel at the Milky Way, the stars, the sunset and the sunrise in a luxury camper in the middle of the Salar de Uyuni. Enjoy this unique tour, where you can sleep in the middle of Uyuni Salt Flats in a deluxe campervan. You will see a night full of stars and sleep watching the Milky Way in the middle of the Salt Flats

+

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Salar de Uyuni with Luxury Camping in Bolivia?

How far in advance should I book 3 Day Salar de Uyuni with Luxury Camping in Bolivia?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Uyuni can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?

What are the best things to do in Uyuni?
+
On Outty we rank every Uyuni experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3-Days Tour to the Uyuni Salt Flat and Colored Lagoons +Sunset+Mirror Effect, Uyuni Salt Flat 1 Day Tour +Sunset in the Salt Water Region with Mirror Effect, 3-Day Salt Tour of Uyuni with Sunset and Lagoons Colorada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Uyuni?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Uyuni?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
