Three wonderful days in the Peloponnese

We spent three wonderful days seeing the sights with Nikos. This was actually our second trip with Nikos. He showed up Athens and Corinth two years ago and we had some much fun, we came back. I would highly recommend the tour of the Peloponnese. Mycenae was incredible and not something that everyone gets to see like the Acropolis. Hydra was stunningly beautiful and a fun trip, but we fell in love with Nafplio. From wondering the quaint streets of old town, to sampling Ouzo, to having a great dinner at an outdoor cafe, it was very memorable. Having Nikos for a guide is more like traveling with a very knowledgeable friend. He's very accommodating and does his best to tailor things the way you want. This was a trip that we'll remember forever.

Response from the operator: Karen & Kelly... I'm copying/pasting your recent email, but I also "had SO much fun traveling with you". And yes, this is a "stellar review". And ... thank you very much for this! Great description! Take care. Nikos.

Great personal experience to seeing Greece

This was the first time I came to Greece as a tourist and not a Greek to visit with family. The entire tour was incredibly detailed with information, locations, and focused attention to detail. Nikos was wonderful and very attentive to our families questions and experience. Nafplio was beautiful and full of fun and beautiful sites. The food was amazing and a great taste of true local cuisine. Great hotel accommodations. Highly recommend this to first time Greece visitors as well as native and local Greeks to learn about the less know jewels of beautiful Greece! We will definitely use them again for their other tours of Greece.

Response from the operator: Well said. Thank you and hopefully we'll see you again ... very soon. We like to take care of all details which are not detas for us. The hotels, the people we meet, th,e locations we overnight, the food, ... are all part of the experience, and not just the sites and the islands. Thank you once again.

History and Chilling out

Fantastic tour with Theo who personalised it for us & was slways so accommodating. Thank you Theo. We loved Hydra especially and our accommodation was great too with a generous host who stocked us up with treats and fresh juice. We found it a perfect way to know more about Greece.

Response from the operator: Thanks, Professor, for taking the time to review this tour which is one of our favorites! We love Hydra island too and the accommodation is a special place at a unique location with a great host! She is always very generous and the organic treats she provides are all local to the area. Eudaimonia Private Tours takes care of all the small details that make the difference when private touring. We would love to see you and your family visiting Greece again and exploring more of the Mythical Peloponnese!

I have taken my family to several...

I have taken my family to several countries around the world to immerse ourselves in the culture and history of other areas. We have taken larger group tours, private tours, and also explored on our own by driving through other countries. This three day private tour with Nikos was one of our best experiences of all of the trips weve taken. For the price, this was a great value. Nikos was a very knowledgeable guide that had information prepared to teach us about the historical sites that we were going to visit. The tours were a perfect balance of him educating us and offering direction as well as taking a step back to allow us to have some time alone as a family to explore the actual sites themselves.

With this private tour, we were able to see multiple areas of Greece that we would not have been able to see on our own. Nikos also did a great job of researching smaller villages and restaurants around the areas ahead of time so he knew which ones served delicious, authentic food and which ones may have been more commercialized to avoid. I felt that this really added to the experience of meeting more of the local folks in the area and enjoying the food and drink that they are accustomed to.

In regards to accommodations, we had a great view within the apartment we stayed at and were very close to the village center to enjoy the restaurants and take ferries over to nearby islands. Nikos and his wife were very hospitable and were a pleasure to spend time with. I feel that my kids were able to learn a lot from this trip. Not just about the history of these areas in Greece, but about the culture and way of life. This was a wonderful experience and Id recommend using Nikos for any tour you take in Greece. In fact, we actually had him take us around Athens as well for two additional days because we were so impressed by him!

Thanks so much for the wonderful time Nikos and we hope to get back and visit you and your wife soon!
Steve

3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island cost?

+

Prices start at $790 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3-Day Private Tour of Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus, plus Hydra and Spetses Island start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
